Listening to the loop fewer times is such a game changer! I learned this by watching Disclosure’s streams, Guy adds or tweaks a lot of stuff before playing the track again. And MOST IMPORTANTLY do not leave it playing while preset scrolling or experimenting with effects

Absolutely! So much could be said for just limiting the effects of fatigue and keeping it fresh! Damn, I miss those Disclosure streams, we all learnt a tonne!

You don't have to select all the channels when you do it btw just the amount of time

@@WillHatton you're welcome. Ctrl+ i is useful too to just insert a blank space with that amount of time. Ctrl+shift+u is a favourite in the piano roll because I almost never want to perfectly quantise anything so I used to manually move notes. 60%-80% usually is enough

There’s defo a fine line between a useful template and something that restricts how you create - I found anyways
@WillHatton3 ай бұрын
Agreed! And, through limitations/restrictions you can also unlock creativity. It's all a fine line you should experiment with :)

You should do tutorial vids on these up and coming genres dude. I saw you did a drift phonk one a while back. We got Brazilian Phonk, KrushKlub, Slide Funk; there's definitely a lack of people who know what they are doing making material on this stuff (I think I might know the reason why tho🤣🤣

It's okay, these aren't the 16 commandments of music production, they're just little ideas. Take what you need and have fun :)
