If you want your Staffy to be happy and healthy, it's important that you know exactly what to feed them.
If you already own a Staffy, you know that they'll eat just about anything they can get their paws on. However, that doesn't mean it's good for them, and Staffies don't know what is healthy or unhealthy for them. So, as an owner, you have to know.
This list of 16 foods includes food that is dangerous for your Staffy, and some that are simply unhealthy.

I'm binge watching all of your videos, as I just adopted a Staffy two weeks ago. Your channel is by far the most informative and detailed of all the bully channels I've seen! Truly amazing videos. When we first adopted our Staffy, we were clueless about the distinctions between Amstaffs, Staffies, and American Pitbull Terriers. I just knew that she was one of the best dogs I've ever had. After a little research, I quickly identified her as a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and am so happy to have landed what I feel is truly the best of all the bully breeds. Quite serendipitous!

Enjoying the videos. Owned Amstaff & staffy for 16 years and i am always learning. On this vid i expected to see mushrooms in the list. Have i picked that up somewhere in the past and mushrooms are ok? I always make sure none land on the kitchen floor when chopping and any on the lawn are picked and binned asap 😁

I've just rescued a 7 year old. They really are just the best dog. Had dogs all my life but they were Labs, German Sheps and Goldies. This Staffie is SO much easier to train.

I didn't know about avocados or coconut. Good to know, although I've never fed him any of those foods, except for cheese once, but he got gas really bad and he hasn't had any since then.

Are you aware that kibble at least in the United States doesn't have to mention starch on the label. All kibble contains between 40 and 65% starch as a binding agent. Feeding your dog a regular diet of kibble is no different than having them eating a loaf of bread everyday. They're not designed for it and it will lead to stomach issues and cancer. Don't ever feed a dog kibble on a regular basis unless you want them to have a short life span.

They cost far less from a rescue. The shelters are full of staffys. Depends whether you want a pet, or an accessory.

my staffy has always ate chocolate with me, but as for cheese he is mad for it he knows when it is out the fridge, he is 7 now and you have worried me of a night his breathing is like a human, i will stop giving him now, but he has always been a loud snorer

Fermented milk is much easier for a dog to digest, and the yogurt culture's are of benefit,to their belly my chap enjoys it. And a bit of cheese as a treat every so often is fine

Im in shock that you didnt mentioned peanutbutter and sate sauce!! Its extremely dangerous for well any dog!! It makes them extremely sick, diarea, vomit and can kill them.

Some brands of peanut butter is perfectly fine for dogs, as long as it doesn't have xylitol in it. Just got to be careful of sugar intake. You can get special brands of peanut butter specially for dogs. My staffy goes ape over it!

Never feed your dog kibble on a regular basis. The labeling laws at least in the United States I don't know about the UK, has no obligation whatsoever to mention starch. All cable uses between 40 and 65% starch as a binding agent meaning you're feeding your dogs pounds and pounds of bread. Studies are starting to show this will lead to stomach issues and a whole range of cancers. Unless you want your little buddy to die in early age avoid feeding kibble as much as possible. If you think I'm making it up just do a quick search I'm not you'll be able to quickly verify what I'm talking about. Again unless you want your dog dying young don't feed it kibble.
