I also had a "broken thermostat" for 10 years! Most of that time I took HRT medication, prescribed by my doctor at my insistence. Worked like a charm and I could finally sleep through the night again. When you have a 40+ hr./week job, you really need your sleep. Hang in there, Viv. This too shall pass.

Hello Vivmom 😊 . When I saw that you were back on ...I said “ OH YA!!!! I was so glad to see you . You look wonderful. I love your long hair ...it suits you! Before you went off you tube I was going to tell you just how much you inspired me . I wrote to Whitney on Tomkatstichery also. In 2018 I lost two of my brothers and in between them I unexpectedly lost my husband. I said good bye to him as I was going to house Sit for our son. That evening ...he passed away. I was devastated! I am was also scheduled fo hip surgery on both hips. In all of my recovery I started to get into sewing again. Never did I expect so much comfort. I went through a deep depression. This went on until September of 2019. I discovered your sewing Channel and several others , you were one of my favorites . I couldn’t wait until you were on . You have a wonderful personality Vivmom!! You made me excited about sewing 🧵. You made me laugh. And you apologized for your mistakes , I love how you sew for your family , that is wonderful! You are a wonderful person with a sweet spirit , keep doing what your doing. One never knows just how much they touch someone In time of need. You helped to keep me going with your happy personality. Hi, I like the way your projects fit you; you must have some fitting techniques you use. And your fabric combos come out great too. I laugh when you 'leave off' the zipper, etc, and perhaps same with bunches of buttonholes? You are an encouragement; I just might get over doing everything like the pattern says!

Your son made me have a flashback.. My husband and I graduated in the 80's. He wore lavender purple pleated pants with a lavender and pink checked shirt under a white linen jacket (Miami Vice sryle) to his 10 year class reunion in 1990. That was the look. Your son is right on.

I understand the thermostat issue. Have it here too. I’m a nurse and I swear every time I gear up in mask gown gloves and face shield I have a hot flash. So annoying. By the time I go home my bra is wet and my hair looks like a helmet. Hope you enjoy that visual. Lovely makes

Hi, Viv! Just found you two days ago and can't stop watching! I did see the video with your two sisters and you - loved it💖. For reference, I came along one year before your oldest sister😉. During high school, I sewed most of my clothes and loved it. Fast forward a few years, when our first baby arrived, the only noise that made him cry was the sewing machine!!! Two more babies three and four years later, plus working part time left no time for sewing, except when hubby would pull out the machine to create and see his trick-or-treating costumes for the kids! He is the true artist/creator, imparting lots of winning designs for our three in the village costume contest - so much fun😂 I am so enjoying seeing many of the old patterns I remember💖!! And you've inspired me to get out my machine to start making some summer dresses - it's been hot in southern Ohio! I just wanted you to know I bought as Brand New Brother sewing machine with the extra long stage And it is all your fault!!!!Thank You Thank You 😃😃😃🥀🥀🥀 My first project will be a lap cover For a friend of mine . The one side of the fabric is very pretty butterflies and the back side avery pretty blue to match the butterfly colors. Then it will be hand tied and knotted. The internal will be fleece blankets. I better get started as Christmas is only 4 weeks away!! And she lives in Fairfax, VA Not far from you!! Loved all your latest creations!! You are a Delight to know and watch. Love the pink dress, love the joggers - you can always get the fit exactly right on pants - they look amazing! And I really love Vogue 9002 - fabric aside, it doesn't look at all like a scullery maid. It's a great pallet for fabulous jewelry. My favorite is the pockets! I may have to look up that pattern. Never too soon! Crushed velvet top is one of my favorites. I have never sewn with crushed velvet-now I have to! Love your pink dress and the green and orange cotton dress too. Very clever idea. I can relate to your broken thermostat-no explanations needed.🥵🔥☀️

It is a very easy fabric to work with. Be sure to use with nap lay out. Don’t play any games of our the crushed texture will hide the nap. 🤪💕 It has a bit of stretch, but not too much. No need for a serger. And it washes and wears beautifully.
