Your daughter had a great future in KZbin. My daughter enjoyed seeing her. This is Paulo by the way. I was also very impressed to learn about the brave academy. I have never heard about it but thanks for bringing that up to our attention. Tim Vieira’s experience is impressive! I have submitted a request for more information on their website and I mentioned I learned about it from your KZbin channel. Hopefully it’s not too expensive. Sounds like it’s 6,000 euros per year which is great. All the best to you and your family, Nick.

Hi Nick ! Great video - thanks so much for uploading. Super interesting...I just wondered whether you have a sense of how much demand there is for international school places at the moment? Do people find it hard to get their kids into the schools or are there always spots for those who want them? Also I get that a lot of young professionals have moved to Lisbon/ericeira area on the west coast on the digital nomad visa, but I've always seen the Algarve as a place where lots of (particularly Brits) retire to. Has that been your experience or is there a growing young/professional expat population in the Algarve or is the expat population still predominantly retirees?
@AlgarveAddicts Жыл бұрын
Hi Lydia, there are lots of retirees but there are good populations of younger 30-40 years old digital nomads. They organize themselves really well. I'm actually going to interview some of the ringleaders pretty soon. Yes, international schools do appear to be tough to get into but not impossible.

I'm not sure of the lowest ones, but it really depends on your location. The prices go up as your kids get older. Generally around €11-15k per annum.

I haven't been able to find much information regarding the appropriateness of programs for children with autism or other differences.

Good information Nick. I'm currently looking at properties in Portimao in order to move. My niece who is in 9th grade is asking about going to school there. If she finished the last 3 years of high school in Portugal would she be eligible to go to the state University for free?
@AlgarveAddicts2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason, did I say University was free in Portugal? I need to double check I said that, as it's not. Check the prices for the University of the Algarve just for starters: www.ualg.pt/en/tuition-and-fees

From a foreigners perspective, I still find Portuguese traditions alive and well. I'm amazed how my daughter (even growing up in a mixed family) has such strong connections to Portuguese food, culture, music and history.
