Just come across your channel and loving the content. I remember that bench at the start of the video being a welcome site as I finished the Affric Kintail way!

James, your comments on top of Beinn Fhada were so right - you have to go back and do the west ridge of Beinn Fhada - either up or down it is utterly superb. These hills really exemplify why I think guidebooks should be used for basic information only. You did well to decide on your own route down. This pair make a brilliant circuit which to my mind is always more interesting than out and back.
@ScottishMunroJourney2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Eddie, that ridge does look great! Love the terrain around Glen Shiel, not always great for going off route but paid off this time 😁 thanks for watching, Atb, James

Lovely area James, a cracking pair of hills well captured. The fields of Morvich always looks so lush against the browns of the hills. Cheers, Andy.

Hahaha! Man, I did the exact same thing coming off A'Ghlas-bheinn in May last year and filmed a selfie video about how awful it was at that same bit of the walk too. Nightmare.

It was horrendous 😂 but didnt fancy the huge descent towards the Falls of Glomach.. worth it in the end 😂👍

Top notch James. You are powering your way through them and you have overtaken me now. I’m on 112. It’s a great journey and I’m enjoying watching your journey! 👍
@ScottishMunroJourney2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrew, I’m loving it so far 😁 well done on 112, it feels great getting closer to the half way mark.. but you must have the same problem as me - the long drives to the nearest Munros 😂 Atb, James
@andrewsadventures57472 жыл бұрын
@@ScottishMunroJourney yes the long drives are a challenge. Started doing overnights at weekend with hikes on each day. Also got a long weekend soon for Ben Wyvis and prob Beinn Dearg 4. Its great fun 👍

Another great video pal. I compleated the Munros last year so I enjoy watching your story unfold and I can reminisce about that particular hill day. Also love the backing track, so much so I’ve found the band on Apple Music - Beluga Lagoon 😍.

Well done on your compleation Darren, must be good watching these and recognising the views 😂 Fantastic band Beluga Lagoon, i’ve been hooked for years 😄 Atb, James

Loved this as always, thank you. That ridge you mentioned on Beinn Fhada was the highlight for me when I was up it, so I'd definitely recommend it for your next trip there. You saw a lot more than I did though!

I haven't climbed Beinn Fhada yet - I'll probably do the ridge walk as it looks fab and I love scrambling. I did A' Ghlas Bheinn a few years ago in torrential rain as a Plan B, as it was too wet to do the Forcan Ridge. The only views I saw were cloud and rain dripping down from the top of my raincoat. Nice to see the views in your video!
@ScottishMunroJourney2 жыл бұрын
The ridge looks fantastic so I’m sure you will enjoy it 😁 shame about the views you got on A’Ghlas Bheinn.. but im sure Beinn Fhada will make up for it 😁 Atb, James

Fantastic! We were planning Beinn Fhada next week if the weather on the cuillin doesn't play ball. First time we've seen the zig zag real time so thank you. What time of year was it?
