What’s Rudson Mateus been up to lately? Dude was amazing to watch. Bummed to see him off the circuit lately.

What I hear was that he just got fed up and stopped training; started driving a cab. Crazy. Then he randomly comes back to CTA for a sparring day, crushes everyone.

9:58 unnecessary behavior… As a community we forgot about the roots of our sport. Respect the rival and his health. Let go if he’s tapping.

I don’t think he held on for too long. It appears the man being armbarred may have tapped the mat at first with his left arm. But at that point, neither his opponent or the ref reacted. I think that it is because that also could appear to be flailing as part of an escape attempt. After that, he sounds like her loudly verbally submits and very clearly taps very quickly multiple times in the opponent leg. At that point, the opponent lets go and the ref signals the end of the match. The only argument I could see for that being too long is the man arm barring him should understand the technique well enough to know his opponent is compromised, thus he does not need to apply so much pressure for so long. Besides that, he let’s go after it is was obvious the match is over so that seemed fair to me. The man being arm barred did not seem to have an issue and the ref did not seem to have an issue. I think this one was okay.

Lucas is a legend of the sport and this the highest level competition, injuries happen at this level and speed, the best way I can explain you probably don’t crash your car a lot commuting to and from work but if you were a race car driver racing for world championship your likely hood of wrecking out is much higher then daily driving to the super market

He tapped and he let go in time. He was fine. Hulk is gonna Hulk. He respects the tap. Just a quick finish. Porra
