I'd do the entire project by myself without telling anyone (just in case) and then when they show me their slides, insert them into my project. That way; even if they didn't do their bit we can still present, but if they did do their part, less presenting for me. All it costs is a lot of needless time and effort! 😁👍

I love ISTPs they’re so straightforward and simple once you figure them out! Lots of misunderstandings, but no mind games and things usually work out fine as long as you accept how they are and offer some benefit of doubt rather than make assumptions about their sometimes odd or even hurtful behavior. After you get used to their bluntness they are incredibly refreshing to be around and the ones I know are so talented and interesting!

INTJ here. This representation is honestly so accurate for the way I do school. If its something I'm confident I can do in a short time then I'll 100% wait until the three minutes before class starts to to do my half. Why waste the effort getting it done early when you could listen to your professor talk about it for two weeks and hear your classmates complain about it as well. All of that is so much freakin intel dude.

High school homework, we had to write a summary of our hometown as if writing for a travel brochure. I got picked to read mine aloud in class. Of course, I'd completely forgotten to write it, so winged it anyway. At the end of my detailed presentation, my teacher stared at me and smirked "you didn't do that homework, did you?", to which I straight admitted "no". He then reminded me that it only meant to be a summary, not a novel, but commended me for essentially pulling a 10 minute monologue out of my arse with no prep. I'll never forget the tension in the room when I admitted to not having done the homework, as that teacher was known for being quite strict.

Start same day it’s supposed to be handed in fake sickness and stay awake for 75 hours straight writing the whole paper until you start hallucinating, faint and get weird full body twitches. Then turn it in only for the teacher to accuse you of getting someone else to write it for you because it’s too good, whatever that means. Ended up only getting a passing grade because they are convinced you cheated, but can’t prove it 😭😭😭 I swear I never recovered the brain cells I fried in the process of writing that stupid paper

Advice given to me as INTP from INFP: "Deliberately be awkward and then it becomes a comedy show that people can laugh at." I still haven't done the self-promo video but I know an INFP who got a job this way but he's also a genius. INFPs are the smartest type hands down and as an INTP I am beyond happy to hand you the trophy for that.

As an INFJ, that was totally true. One time i did this presentation with ESTP. And he was like "I'm gonna crush it" and then the next day he was like "what presentation?" And the night before the presentation he asked me what topic he was supposed to do. But THEN... the moment he was presenting, he became suddenly the master of that topic. I don't know how that worked that well for him.

I (ENTP) just studied for an exam with an ESTP and it went really well so I invited my INFJ friend to pick the subject and join. Two weeks after the exam he called me to tell me that he doesn’t like such large study groups which really confuses me cause 3 is not large. Also we got a lot done so it can’t be that. I asked him if he disliked my ESTP friend and he said no. INFJs are mysteries.
@namuun7629
@namuun7629 11 ай бұрын
@@Janine396 i don't know the full story. But i feel like your INFJ friend might have felt uncomfortable because ESTPs tend to speak about the tiniest flaw in conversation. Like if i said "the speed of light is 300million meters" my ESTP friend would tell me "It's actually 299 792 458 meters". And that is really annoying for me to study with my ESTP friend. But I think as time passes your ESTP and INFJ friends will get along well since their cognitive functions are the same. They will understand where the other person is coming from. ))

@@namuun7629 Thank you very much that's actually helpful! He did do that and I might have thought it was super funny that I said a lot of obviously unrealistic stuff and my ESTP friend corrected me (like I expected). I thought my INFJ friend was waiting to warm up to tune in cause introverts take longer but apparently not haha The arguments we had in front of him were really informativ and not only about what we were supposed to know but so much more knowledge for life, so I thought he hit the jackpot studying with us, I would have never guessed that was the problem

Haha this was hilarious!!!! As an INFJ, I spend more time worrying about whether others did their part and whether I can get my hands on it to streamline than my own part… but I also spend a lot of time perfecting and re-thinking my own part. It becomes a 40 hour week during group project time with most of it projecting what the outcome is gonna look like 😂 Then I tell everyone what a great job they did and try to find something specific to complement them on to make them feel good. The anxiety in working in groups is so uncomfortable. I remember my friends telling my bf (INTP) how I would outshine the other presentations and they were like, “C’mon… we’re just trying to keep it easy and simple.” It was like an itch I had to scratch.

Frank, you are so funny and so good at this. I really enjoyed the ENTJ/ISFP exchange. Idk how I would’ve handled it in school but as an adult I usually really enjoy being around ENTJs. They have given me some very good life advice. I find them to be very laid back, but not in the same way that I am (ISFP). I think they’re laid back because they already know they have their stuff together and they know things are going to work out because they have put in the work to organize things. Whereas my perspective is I rarely have my life together but hey that’s life. You have to take life as it comes and roll with the punches. Depends on how much effort I would choose to expend on the subject. I loved learning, but there were some topics I utterly hated and could not stuff into my brain. Also depends on the partner. In this case, ESFP was clearly INTJ's frequent trusted partner in a Pinky and the Brain dynamic. I did have a trusted high school BFF partner, who was an ENFP or ENTP, and we BSed our way to As all the time. I still fondly remember our off the cuff performances as the King and Duke, the conmen from Huckleberry Finn, talking about the symbolism ans purpose of the King and the Duke. We both did our reading, had note cards with specific topics, and then improvised the whole thing because playing an unscrupulous con man with my BFF was just pure fun. Especially as we were essentially pulling off a con right then, acting as if we had this planned out.

It depends. If it is something that interests me or is a high mark I would have mine (and everyone else’s) part(s) done, but in things we are confident in our ability to do we really don’t often put in the effort until we have to. I last minute crammed nearly every presentation/project I did in school and usually received one of the top marks. Didn’t study really at all for tests/exams and always got a minimum of a B+ on them. I would rather spend my time in the Ni astral world than anything else, and Te takes time to truly develop in many of us. We often rely on our ability to “just know” things in order to get the job done rather than being drained by Ti style research when it doesn’t interest us. Te is just fine with that, especially when it is still immature. My experience of group projects was they are inefficient and if it was something I cared about it was always best for me to delegate what I thought others could/would handle and then do the entire project myself, splicing in their pieces as/if they did them (and assuming they were not too inferior to what I had done). Basically try to provide the illusion that it was a group project in order to human better with the humans. Ideal was always try and arrange the situation so I ended up “officially” on my own and not in a group.

I once entered a competition with a team of 2 ENFPs and 2 ISTJs. Honestly, we work amazingly well because we all value hard work and wanted to do our best. It was funny because we all gel really well together during training and discussions but the moment the training session ends and we're headed back, automatically and subconsciously, without fail, we would separate by our types to chat. We only found out about our types later and had the best laugh because of how funny it was. But it's very clear from the start that the ISTJs were very grounded and organised, they kept us all in check. The ENFPs on the other hand, were the ones pulling off random jokes and make far off suppositions (which actually helped for the competition). But I remember one time, one of the ISTJs made a pun and the two ENFPs were laughing so hard that the ISTJ said, "that's sweet of you guys but really it wasn't funny at all". When the two ENFPs insisted that it was, the other ISTJ looked completely baffled and said, "I don't know. I don't feel anything," which of course made the ENFPs laugh harder. (If it isn't clear from the length of this narration, I was one of the ENFPs. The other ENFP isn't actually sure what she is yet, she's also considering INFP, INFJ, ENTJ -she's so not an ENTJ- but IMO she checks the boxes for ENFP)

As an INTJ who was often paired with the Big Idea types, I was pretty experienced pulling random things out of nowhere in the last few hours. Though my experience taught me to assume most group members wouldn't do any of their work and I often did the whole project _just in case_ and wouldn't tell them it was done until they were through giving me fake excuses and pretending to be worried. If they actually did the work, I'd never tell them that I had the rest of the project done separately. May have been more work for me but it only took one inept partner to tank a project before I knew better than to rely on someone else in that scenario again! (and I didn't even fail that project. I asked the teacher if he'd consider grading the actual, fully completed work given I could provide said finished version within a day, by any means necessary. He agreed and I finished the slacker's chunk-probably a week of work in a few hours-and pulled a good grade.)

Okay, this INTJ is affronted....I never forget projects. In fact, I begin work as soon as it's been mentioned: receiving due date, planning personal target date before the official due date, plotting backwards from there what needs to be done in order to complete by personal deadline so as to have built-in buffer space for when LIFE interrupts plan. And as I hate group projects, because others are unreliable....I have their portions already done as well in case they fail to produce, or need help with their end, etc cus if my grade is hanging in the balance, I take no chances (or hostages)...I don't even care if they pass when they shouldn't because I covered for them so long as I don't suffer for their failures. and if I were assigned a clearly ESFP partner, I'd be scheduling out their portions due dates too, in portions they can handle, and making them check in every day in that regard. (Though it is true that in the case of actual surprise tests/projects, I am incredibly capable of slapping something decent on short notice....but while I can fly by the seat of my pants on a wing and a prayer, I prefer a properly laid out flight plan and do daily checks to make certain the bird will fly.)

Well, I can definitely relate to the INTJ (despite the ISTJ hardworking stereotype, I am actually pretty lazy), except that I have not forgotten about it, I have just been stressing out over the fact that I have to do it while not actually starting on it until the last weekend or so. The ESTP is right, there is nothing like last minute panic to jolt you into action and even give you extra inspiration that you never had previously (I remember the stories I had to write for English class for one, sit down earlier and I would have 0 inspiration and not even be able to get past the title, wait until midnight the night before it is due and suddenly a decent story starts taking shape with incredible speed while my mum blames me for “not wanting to do it before”). On projects my usual method was to devolve parts to everyone as usual (btw, how am I even supposed to pick what part I want to do? There is no “part I am better at”, it is all looking up information that I might or might not find. Same with presenting, it is just a bigger or smaller block of text (roughly equal, if your group cares about fairness at all) that I have to remember. I d pick the smallest/easiest one but that would be unfair to the others and would mean trusting them even more not to mess up, the bigger/tougher ones mean a progressively higher chance that I mess up) but make myself responsible for “putting it together” aka correcting everyone else’s bad language, formatting, leaving out unnecessary drivel, adding in extra information that was required but they couldn’t find and so on and then sending them a text at 4 am like “okay guys, this is what we are actually presenting, I will read any further complaints tomorrow”. If a competent person wants to do this final check or they do their part right the first time I am perfectly fine with that and I will just add on any thoughts I have on top of that, that is less work for me, the issue is finding such people. And yeah, I will definitely be weirded out by random cat gifs when seeing them so unexpectedly, not necessarily be against them though, maybe I need my own ENFP to come up with and spend time on wacky ideas like that. So long as there is an actual project to present still that is, we aren’t graded on the quality of cat gifs people. Honestly that just seems like extra work for no reason, not like classmates pay attention to or learn anything from others’ school projects anyway

INTJ here, and let me say one of my most significant accomplishments was designing a 10-minute presentation with a quiz in 3 minutes before the professor walked into the room. Everyone in the group misread the schedule, and we didn't know it was our turn to present.

An INTJ would never forget the group project because we're expecting the other people to be absolutely useless, sentient bags of flesh We would have plan A, plan B, and plan C. Plan A: we do it all ourselves because we want a good grade and know we can't rely on the other group members Plan B: Emotionally prepare for someone to try and "help" with the group project. Practice polite yet dismissive small talk that makes us seem like chill, kind people, when really we're ruthlessly avoiding the help of others who will screw the pooch and get us a bad grade. "It's okay Sam, I don't mind doing it all. No, really Sam, I don't need your help. Please enjoy your weekend at the beach!" Plan C: In the event that plans A and B fail and we are forced to accept contributions from others on the project we will self medicate for anxiety and try our best to survive the torture that is spending hours "brainstorming" with imbeciles. We'll do our best on the group presentation but already be planning on how to recover from the blow our grade will take due to the "help" from others. Extra credit, here we come!

As an INFP who worked on a group project with an ESTJ I will tell you... It ended in tears. Not from me at first. I frustrated him so much with my lack of assertiveness he cried the day before the presentation. I'm so sorry. I'm so so so sorry.

LMFAO OH NOOOO POOR ESTJ 🫂💔 they deadass cried?? omg i would feel sad for the estj too... i'm sorry sweetie, ik you were trying your best as an infp!! as one too, i can def relate with that signature experience of the sj's being so done with our incessant bs (i live in a family chock-full of judging sensors so that brand of "tf u even doing bro????" is pretty much my family @ me everyday of my life) Honestly, I am lucky that my perfectionism and high standards for academic achievement usually make me take charge more so that we get things done according to "my oddly specific vision". My desire to get a good grade (academic success is my shitty coping skill) therefore helps me direct my group towards fulfilling the standards needed to exceed expectations that I have gleaned, and I pull a lot of INFJ tactics of dividing the work up and "valuing" everyone's contributions... only to edit in anything they missed in their parts last minute because I WANT TO MAKE A REALLY GOOD PRESENTATION GODDAMNIT (even if i go overboard and forget that this project may not even be worth the extra effort) and if suzie missed part of the prerequisites for a stellar presentation, I am using my academic and technological prowess to reword (and sometimes rewrite entirely if i can't trust them for shit and eventually do my own research to make sure that their work is correct) and restyle her sections until it looks to my liking. Does that sometimes mean making big formatting changes to make the aesthetic look nicer and more refined? Yes. Does this mean debating with confused groupmates over very small details because of my need to fufill my strangely specific vision of how I want to do this project? Yes. Do they think I'm weirdly limiting at the end of the day? Probably lmfao 💀 i think plenty of infps prefer to work alone so that they get things done in their own way without worrying about bothering anyone. my personal goal when working with a group is to have the endgoal be as close as to what I would have created on my lonesome. I wish I was one of the people who found group projects fun since it sounds cute in theory to come together and create a nice project with the power of teamwork™, but fuck no I ain't that person at all!!! Cons: THIS STRATEGY OF MINE ONLY WORKS WHEN PEOPLE ARE WILLING FOR ME TO TAKE CONTROL OVER THE CREATIVE PROCESS. I am just lucky that most of my group members are on the lazier side and don't mind me tinkering around with shit since it is subtle and likely to net the group a higher grade in the end. If everyone else in the group already has agreed on a plan that I don't like, and does not take kindly to me editing their work or is content with doing the bare minimum.... then i am fucked!! :)))))) What is even more ridiculous is that I am still the most unreliable figure known to man due to having severe mental illness!!! So I am the dumbass waxing poetics about having lofty standards when we discuss the team project plan, only to end up not doing my part on time due to crippling executive dysfunction, indecision paralysis, and serial procrastination, courtesy of my many mental comorbidies that my oblivious groupmates will never know about for their entire lifetime!!! In other words, I get good grades and appear like a very smart student but still miss deadlines and look like a clown, to the constant confusion of many. The only pros of working with a group for me is that they can cover for my ass whenever I am struggling, at the expense of enduring more stress for having an inconsistently performing group member. Which gets one YIKE from me but I don't decide the rules about having to work with other people for an assignment. In other words, I do pretty well on my presentations when I am not grappling with terrible mental health issues (even with how neurotic I become behind the scenes trying to memorize a cohesive speech script that is of reasonable presentation length, because i loathe public speaking thanks to my inner social anxiety demon)! My overachieving nature allows me to mask my glaring faults and some people don't realize just how much of a "slacker" I am. But god knows that I am sure that some poor ESTJ can immediately look at the hot mess that is my existence and call me out like "this girl stresses me out so much, how tf do i even begin to manage this disaster of a person?? we are doomed to a shitty outcome and my academic success is riding on this undisciplined mf??? Christ almighty save me, i need divine intervention bc idk how to deal with this level of utter uselessness. ffs can you at least be reliable for ONE minute" All in all. It's okay, a lot of us have been there. We're just chaotically quirky and a lot of people don't know how to deal with quirky chaos. WE don't even know how to deal with our own quirky chaos. But it is okay because I give you internet hugs.

I'm an INFP and I have all these different characters in my head. For 4 of them, I took the test because I was curious. The results were ISFP, ISTJ-A, ISTJ-T, and ENFP. They're best friends and their friend group is called "Legendary to the 4th Power," which I was very proud of to come up with. I like watching these videos to see my personality, but also their personalities. It's cool to see how accurate it is! And yes, I'm terrible at presenting. I get full-blown panic attacks every time. 😆

As an INTP, last year, I had to do a group project with my best friend and another friend. Long story short, I did the whole thing myself. They weren’t bad friends, I just have trust issues. I mean my other friend actually tried helped out with the portfolio, I just didn’t use anything she wrote in the final draft cause the way she wrote it clashed with mine.. I have another group project this year, it’s gonna be even harder… yayyy more panic attacks…🙄

In my experience, these are stages of doing a group project. from "we should make a video game", to "you do bullet points one through three, i do bullet points four to six", to "due tomorrow, do tomorrow" to, ultimately, "pull it out of our tushies in 20 minutes during lunch"

I'm an INFJ woman and my boyfriend is an ESTP man. We're also childhood best friends, so despite our differences, we get along quite well and work together amazing as a team. 😋💖 Although I can relate some of the ESTP stuff in your videos, this school project thing is completely different in my experience. My ESTP boyfriend was actually pretty serious about his school related stuff (assignments, projects, exams, whatever it was...), so I never faced any problem whenever I teamed up with him. However my other ESTP friends were just like how you've shown in this video, so to some extent, I can relate... 😂

And that's why despite the differences in our personalities, we get along just fine. And on top of that, it's been YEARS since we've known each other and when I say we know each other, I mean we know each other VERY well to the point where we can also understand what the other one is trying to do, or say, or even think. @@JohnHenrysaysHi Definitely a top pick! I hate giving speeches about things I'm not passionate about because I absolutely HATE talking in front of people about boring things. I know I won't sound excited and will just bore the class. I also get major stage fright talking in front of people. ESTJ are smart, won't slack, thrive on attention, and most of them like that I will do my work and will happily be quiet while they get the cred. Every time I've done anything with an ESTJ it goes well.
