I've had the same problem through my life. The difficult part about us is that our self-awareness and self-doubt play off of each other. Our self doubt makes us question ourselves, that then heightens our self awareness, which opens up deeper questions about ourselves springing further self-doubt and the cycle continues... but the best part about this is it's a constant cycle of improvement and in writing this process down, you can see objective progress. You probably have all of the foundation for a great book from this process in itself like the meditations of Marcus Aurelius :)

This is genius, especially the INTJ/ INFP ending. The INTJ wins, but is then like - argh, I win, but the prize is worthless. And the INFP is like, argh, I win, but no one noticed and I still didn't get what I deep inside really want. (Predictably) - an INFP. On a side note, I'd love to see more hard-core competing among the INTP, INFJ, INFP and INTJ.
@carissahill34142 жыл бұрын
As someone who knows multiple people of all of these types, I can tell you the INTJ would win hands down every time. The INTP needs to be working on something in the concrete world with Ti - Si, the INFJ needs to experience social interactions with their Fe eventually, The INFP is also like the INTP with Fi - Si really needing that concrete world to process their very important feelings.... The INTJ can PLAN for the future indefinitely longer than any personality can withstand with their Ni - Fi . those 50 hours were nothing for them. And when the INTJ gets out and puts their plan into reality, it will revolutionize the world or destroy it... either one. I have to point out those that are in solitary confinement, DONT get a pen and paper to write anything.
@MY-lk1ih2 жыл бұрын
@@carissahill3414 Not sure about intj, but as an infp, such kind of solitary confinement just means i can disregard anything concrete and important lol (responsibilities, chores, time management uggh,etc.) and just relax and happily let my mind wander off, spending limitless time pondering,wondering, meditating, fantasizing and 'creating'... so yea not enough time for my book😂
@RB-gi3zq2 жыл бұрын
@@carissahill3414 As an INFP I would never put a solid pplan of the future but I would indefinitely live on my fantasy world. There were times I would only leave my bed to eat and use the bathroom. Not technology as well, just me and my thoughts. I don't know how much concrete world an INFP needs, or the science behind it, but I would be more than happy to stay 50+ hours in my own fantasy world. Weirdly, I would think INTJ would be the ones to leave because some things are needed to be done and TJ's are the people to do them.
@Joshops312 жыл бұрын
@@carissahill3414 Hmm idk about that. The Si for INTP is more of an autopilot mode rather than a need to interact with the world. We can pretty easily exist in our own minds. Where INTJs might indefinitely plan out their own future, INTPs would get lost in an infinite number of hypotheticals for anything that pops in their brain. Sincerely, an INTP
@carissahill34142 жыл бұрын
The question is not if one can go more than 50 hours, the question is can you go WEEKS. The INTJ can easily go WEEKS. He hadn't even flinched yet in this video and it is SO in line with their personality. The only reason why the contest ended that quick is because the INFP was forgotten about LOL though yeah I am not sure between the INTP and the INFP which one would win against each other. Ti/Ne/Si/Fi or Fi/Ne/Si/Ti .... that might be a tie.
As an INFP I think it's pretty accurate. Not only that quote "Now I can write that fantasy novel I always wanted. I have no excuse not to." 😂😂😂 But it's also that ending when lights are turned off and everybody forgot about INFP being there the whole time. Plus I think that we INFPs have a LOT of good ideas but we struggle realizing them. Great video Frank!

This was great and really struck a chord at the end. I'm INTJ, and sensory deprivation is honestly a top teir experience. 10/10 would recommend. My son is an INFP and my biggest concern on school field trips was that he'd be left behind because he has tendency to quietly wander off or get really interested in something and not notice that everyone was moving along. @@lunaromance2243 Hi. Spending time alone acknowledging and understanding the inner workings of the self, mind and heart truthfully without bias of the external aspects is something people rarely do. After knowing and acknowledging yourself and human nature, as a species, only then will wars, hatred cease to find basis to exist in the first place. When you hate others, it's actually that you hate yourself in a sense. My advice take a break, talk to yourself and your heart, ask why it feels what it feels. Everything you feel is valid, despite it being ethical, socially acceptable or not. It won't ruin lives, haha, quite the contrary. I'm once a blind intj, no more when I start talking to the self. As an INTJ myself, I can confirm this. I have said many times before "solitary confinement isn't a punishment, it is a reward". Sidenote: I would gladly participate in this challenge, literally with just the notebook, pen and food. Books would be a nice alternative, but this one would work too. You can do many things with just a pen and a notebook, my only problem is I would probably need more notebooks, and pens too for that matter. Seriously, like someone out there should make this like a gameshow with a cash prize and I will *gladly* be the first person to call you about participating in it.

The INFJ is so accurate because when we are left alone for so long, we really do feel like our mind is running so wild and actively solving the mysteries of the universe.

I’m an INFP but I related so much to the ENFP in this one too. I love that one is unexplainably named Paige Trafficticket and how sad he looks when he (they? since there are more of him?) have to stop talking to each other and leave the room.

@@Takisan111 I feel the same! ENFP got cheated. I have so much fantasy it could go either way. From „what would I do now if I had to protect against Aliens infecting the solitary confinement base to „wait, do I really need a PlayStation 5“ and what does my more logical me say and how the feeler would do as he wants anyway. This can go on for days. But to be honest INTJ would have rightfully won anyway. 😁

As an INFJ, I endorse this experiment to reach INFJ's full potential! INFJs thrive alone! Even if they are in physical solitary confinement, they need to also mentally detach themselves from the thought of others to focus on their self growth and engage in self love!

I know what you mean. When I write, I've always spent more time thinking about what I'm going to write than I do actually writing it. Whether it was assignments for school, articles for work, or something just for fun. Used to drive some of the people who had to do group projects with me crazy because it would seem to them like I wasn't doing anything for most of the time we'd be working together, yet I always had my part of the project done on time, usually had it done earlier than they did.

When I was a child I wanted to be a writer. I wrote like 50+ pages of lore and encyclopedia with stuff I completely made up about the fictional world I was inventing. Then pther 50+ pages of plot for 5 different novels and a sequel. I drew the map of the fictional land, gave names to all the places. Drew the family trees of all the characters. Half-invented two new different languages. When it came to actually write the novels though I stopped at chapter three bc oh my god doing smth that's already planned out for which you have little to none brainstorming left is so boring
