What are useful social skills that can be picked up quickly? By default, respect people. Cough, but cover your mouth with forearm, not palm. A smile at strangers is not bad; it's humility. Silence is the loudest display of anger; rest is immaturity. Most people find unnecessary touching uncomfortable, remember that. Interruption is impatience. Great people respect disagreement. When you speak in a group, try and look at everyone at least once. If you are not comfortable looking in eyes, look at the face at least. When someone speaks, nod to make them comfortable, even if you don't agree. If you don't know what to speak, listen to people and understand what they want to listen. Don't be rigid on your opinions. However your interaction was, leave with positivity. A smile, and a positive statement of appreciation works well. Never ask uncomfortable details from people in public. Interact more with nervous people to make them comfortable and to leave a positive impact on them. If your palms sweat, keep two handkerchiefs in your pocket, always wipe before shaking hands. If someone is sitting on your side, don't fold your leg in a way that your shoe faces that person. Keep your used utensils yourself in the sink or bin; this makes you subconsciously look responsible and humble. Be a pleasant person, don't spit out negativity in front of people, however bad you feel inside. Be sure before quoting facts; wrong facts put your image down.

I actually do much of this without thinking. Jokes come naturally to me, and half the time it's at my own expense. "Obviously I can't be trusted alone with it." - an inside joke about me breaking things. "I'll bring what you need in 2 hours." - currently referencing me taking two hours to bring a coworker something. The ones that are not inside jokes, I do on the fly. Most of the time it's at my own expense anyways, sometimes it's at their own expense. 9 times out of 10, it lands with a lasting impact. Anything really good, everyone just continues to reference it days or even weeks later. I also do a lot of encouragement, which are not so much tiny jokes, but tiny jabs. "Why don't you?" followed by... "Don't worry about it, just do it." Something a bit extreme, but that notion gets into their head and they usually remember something like that. Of course, all through context.

What are the most powerful quotes you have ever come across? Stay genuine, tables will turn. In life you are presented with two choices “evolve or repeat”. If you get that gut feeling that something isn’t right about a person or situation, trust it. Be ready to lose anyone anytime. Apologize when you’re wrong. Stop looking for quotes that support your stupidity. Commitment isn’t scary, wasting years of your life is. Anything you lose by speaking your truth isn’t a loss. It’s an alignment. The less you say, the more your words will matter. Your life isn’t yours if you always care what others think. Working on yourself, by yourself, for yourself. UPvote if you feel relatable with any of these lines.

You forgot the most important part: find the ways that make you feel good being your true self. that is not only enjoyable by others, it really makes you comfortable with you. And that is fun, and you will be easy and that attracts the right benevolent people that like you for being you. and friends will be like family and all that stuff. just dont fake stuff. remember: if you dont lie you will never have to remember alternate versions of your reality, which is complicated enough. go out there, be you, stop taking everything seriously. you cant outperform life, all of us die in the end. enjoy the ride.

So, in short: 1: say things that exaggerate or are absurd, so it's obvious they're jokes; or, 2: use funny teasing (using the above); 3: for best results, tease yourself; 4: Vary the use of one and two (and three) so you're not boring/predictable.
