Have you ever taken apart the breaking system? I attempted to breakdown the entire reel… BIG MISTAKE! There are two micro springs that are part of the breaking system and I lost both of the springs. The magnets made it difficult to seat the springs. Every time I attempted to seat them, the magnets pulled the springs to them. Looking at the JDM parts diagram it list part # 157 as a complete group. Do you know if part #157 comes as a complete group? Any help is great appreciated

Dumb question, but do you need to place 2 magnets across from each other? I only have a single extra magnet will that provide any braking?

Is the spool the 16ald15r or is it the deeper one? How does it perform for the 1g jigs? I was looking into getting the deeper avail to go with my supper shallow one.

It is the deeper one, the 16ald29r. I decided on the 2.9mm instead of the 1.5mm due to line capacity. I believe the 2.9mm is .2g heavier. 4.9g vs. 5.1g. Now the heavier spool and the extra line will increase the weight slightly. I believe the 16ald15r will cast the 1g better but I'm able to cast them without issues.

Thanks! I’m have the 16ald15r and am a bit nervous with the big fish we have in SoCal, the spool might not hold enough line. I’ll probably buy a deeper version.
