Thanks that made me hungry. Should have welded the holes for longevity. Make sure you seal with epoxy underneath where you bondoed so rust doesn't start and bubble the bonds up. Nice progress, always good to start with sound foundations

Ugh. Are you saying that it would be prudent to crawl under the bus, clean the holes from the bottom, mix epoxy and push it into the holes? Yikes. That would be impossible in some places... but even in the accessible spots it would be a really dirty job... I need a welder. Do you have a suggestion for a good welder? Thank you for the comment and thank you for watching.

Basically Ian, filler on steel works but add moisture and steel rusts causing the filler to be pushed away....you may have seen bog(filler) bubbles on rusty cars for example. As long as you can seal underneath to stop moisture penetrating than it should be fine, and realistically it will probably bubble downwards more than you will notice upwards but either way once rust starts it will beginning moving the filler away...upwards sideways etc. a plug weld would be fine for most if not all those holes. For ease of use I would suggest a mig welder as they are very easy to use. One with gas is preferable but if using outside a gas less version which are cheaper is fine. The gas just makes for a cleaner nicer weld( a shield it is called) but with any breeze becomes ineffective. Harbour freight sells cheap migs in the states I believe ( I'm a kiwi in Australia...your partner will understand that lol) but anyways with what you have done just seal with an epoxy paint like you have used on floor but in a spray can so you can reach your hard to reach areas. It won't be an issue for many many years that way. Unsealed and with salt on roads etc it could be quite fast though I couldn't say 100% that you would even notice inside once you have floored over the steel flooring which I assume you are doing with ply or other material. I hope my long winded answer makes sense. Love the work you guys are doing btw

I probably should have been clearer in my first comment, when I said epoxy I meant epoxy paint not the epoxy filler you used initially. I'm guessing I may have made it sound like the filler. Oops Sorry

Awesome. Thank you for adding your suggestion here. The holes I filled with the bondo are nail holes so they are very small. We still have a lot of work to do to fill the bolt holes leftover from the bus seats. I'm looking at mig welders now and I'll probably go with gas-less version as you suggested as I plan to weld 100% outside. After the floor, I want to weld in a lot of bays under the bus for propane, water and battery storage. So I want to do a good amount of near structural welding on this project too. MY buddy suggested this welder: www.millerwelds.com/equipment/welders/mig-gmaw/millermatic-211-mig-welder-m30024 what do you think?
