So, truth be told, it's the person holding the camera is the artist creating the photo. Next, understand the foundation of this channel and photography itself, "the camera does not make a bad photographer a great photographer", a camera of $42 or $4,200. will not create an award-winning shot.
As far as post processing your work, well if you want to get the finest image you can after the shutter clicks, you absolutely must do some post work.
If you ordered a meal at a restaurant, would you like the meal better if the chef tweaked your food to the highest pro chef level? Yes of course.
Be well.

*Photographer Carmine Taverna Defines Street Photography in these words;
Street photography, a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge. Street photographers do not necessarily have a social purpose in mind, but they prefer to isolate and capture moments which might otherwise go unnoticed.
***Why are CCD cameras better?
CCD sensors create high-quality, low-noise images. CMOS sensors are usually more susceptible to noise. Because each photosite on a CMOS sensor has several transistors located next to it, the light sensitivity of a CMOS chip tends to be lower, as many of the photons hit the transistors instead of the photosite.

It's not the camera that makes a great photo, it's the photographer that TAKES a great photo.

**I completely understand buying on eBay is scary. However, when you are ready to buy your camera or lens on ebay, use this checklist I have created...
1) buy from a seller in Japan.
2) they must have 100% positive feedback.
3) they must have at least 100 Feedbacks.
4) the listing must say MINT OR EXC OR WORKING OR TESTED OR LIKE NEW.
5) you must understand the camera will Not be the cheapest one on ebay.
6) I try to Only buy cameras and lenses from Sellers in Japan
Best wishes,

Please read:
The following is a Rebecca West Quote.
"Photographic art overlaps with the landscape, portraiture, and other photography types. It is defined by the artist's vision and approach to get distinct photographs. Unlike other forms of photography, fine art photography is about capturing what the artist sees instead of what the camera sees. It is just another tool for artists to produce their art."
(Quote from N.F. I. The Nashville Film Institute)
**The CCD was invented in 1969 at Bell Labs by Willard Boyle and George Smith. Since that CCD FILM LIKE SENSOR was sensitive to light it was used as image sensor for video and TV cameras. It could also be used as a memory device or analogue signal delay since it's principally a kind of analogue shift-register circuit.

Street photography is to isolate and capture moments which might otherwise go unnoticed. (Britanica)
People have an emotional response to images,
fine art photography, also known as “photography art,” or “artistic photography” is photographic artwork created in line with the artist's vision. Fine artists use photography as their chosen medium for creative expression.

The pundits would say that a CX size sensor is not good for night photography. Thanks for proving the pundits wrong. Your work is amazing as always.

Carmine, love your videos. I have been a lifelong late adopter of technology. I claim to be the last person on earth to own a cell phone, last person to own a smart phone, and last person to buy a digital camera. Old technology costs pennies on the dollar yet yields very acceptable results. Photography has been a hobby of mine for over 50 years. I've never needed state of the art technology. I have avoided mirrorless technology because of the cost of changing out an entire system. The Nikon V1 fits my budget and I can sill hold onto to my Canon 5D Mark III (like new for $350) and some great budget lenses.

Carmine, I love your old school meets new school approach to photography. Your hints and tips are very useful and practical. I've been shooting photos since my Uncle let me borrow his Leica IIIc back in the 60's. Did film, had a studio for awhile, taught, and still enjoy a day doing photography. Last year, my Cousin (son of the uncle that let me use my first "pro" camera) passed away. As I was going through his stuff I found a Nikon 1V1 (I never even knew this camera existed) with a few lenses. I was blown away by the various SD cards that were in the case and the quality of the photos it produced. Who knew my cousin was a photo nut? It now resides with me and is my go to street photo camera. It is an amazing little guy and the pics are typical Nikon quality / color. I recently bought a J4 as a companion to the V1 - the J4 has become my macro setup with an FT1 adapter and the F 55mm micro lens. Keep Shootin'!!

Still have my Nikon J1 since launch and also have had a V1 for a number of years, too. The auto focus on those bad boys was way ahead of its time. They still work great and produce lovely photos. The 18.5mm f1.8 prime (50mm equiv.) is a great fast lens. I do try and keep my iso quite low though. Very well made cameras. Great video; thankyou!

We bought one of these many years ago when this camera was new. A absolute hidden gem. Got the FT-1 lens adapter, and that opens up a whole HUGE world of lenses. Love it.

The 1 series are fun cameras. I own the V3 with the additional grip and viewfinder. I only have the 70-300mm lens for it, which is incredible given that it gets you the equivalent of 800mm in such a tiny package. It's been a while since I looked at your subscriber count... WOW! Keep it going Carmine!
