Watching your channel over the years I believe the content and your story telling is first class. Your "Breath" video from many years ago tells so much about the life of a cyclist and the evolution we go through. Living in Indiana, your videos help me stay inspired during the cold dark winter months. I have participated in 3 Dust Bowl 100's, never in the pointy end. Ive crashed in the turn before the covered bridge, felt like quitting due to heat etc..and I can attest that you told the story of this event perfectly! @@aamj50 you are right but from the footage the gravel seems super smooth and fast rolling, so their is a case for slimmer tyres. Even DJ rides 42 Pathfinders on faster courses... A 44m Mezcal would be super nice here, or a mixed setup like rombus - pathfinder or cannonbal - washburn in order to grip in the loose stuff

I don’t have an issue with heat. And actually this specific black kit I’m wearing has a special fabric cools the body and pulls salt out of the skin. But a dry heat like Az or Ca, a black kit would hurt a bit.
