What you see here is a 1600HP 9ff Porsche 997 Turbo MkI participated in this years SCC500's event 'Rolling50 Deutsche Meisterschaft' on Black Forest Airport in Lahr, Germany. This event is all about dragracing. 1000m, a rolling start at 50km/h and insane cars! The wheel spin accelerations at high speed are truly amazing!
The top speed of this insane Porsche is 351,77 km/h (218mph)!!

You are missing the point, that 997 is an old car at this point, it's not the latest and greatest. The Bugatti is. But that Porsche: 1. costs a fraction of the price 2. Is hanging with a multimillion hyper-car 3. is not designed to drag race , yet when modified right, is dominating. The 911 is the most versatile car in history... it races in 24h races, Rally, GT, Drag, Autocross, you name it, the 911 has done it. Porsche has done it. Let Porsche build a 3million dollar car and I bet they can do a lot better than that Bugatti.

The fact that an older 997 is hanging with a Bugatti is a beautiful sight. Stop criticizing the guy throwing ice into the intercoolers. Old technology=old methods of making sure a car runs and keeps throwing down 1,600 hp. The Bugatti is new, and new cars don't need quite as much maintenance to maintain power and reduce heat.

It's a 1000 m runway. In the bugatti 0-400-0 video they reach around 305 kph in that distance. This was a rolling start race and they reached ~320 so where did he play around?

Whats amazing about the Bugatti is that all that Power is effortless and you are still driving in comfort and style. Its usable power, that car can be driven by any grandma. You cant get that anywhere else. Ofcourse take a Porsche take everything out and tune the engine to a level that will make it croak after a few thousand miles and its going to beat a Chiron.
