Others might disagree, but I like when I can switch the subtitles on and off. I like to listen to the episode a couple of times and understand as much as I can on my own before checking the subtitles. (Tho maybe it's quite suitable for this episode since there is a lot of quotation.) Thank you for the lesson! Sometimes I have a hard time determining what's important content in a sentence and what's a filler word and I end up being confused, so this helps a lot.

I remember listening to a few of your podcast episodes earlier this year, and I struggled quite a lot to follow the meaning. But now I didn't struggle much with this one at all-there were just a few words I didn't understand. Now I'm wondering if this was just a particularly easy episode, or if I've really made that much improvement in my listening and vocabulary this year. Encouraging. I will check out more episodes!

動画役に立ちます。I was wondering what っていう meant yesterday. Someone was using it as a filler word. Sometimes they said っていうのは.
