Pretty sharp coaches. Quite impressive, Steve! Thanks for the look and review!

Stunning coaches, the real coaches were very 'Art Deco' in appearance, and Hornby have captured that, I wish they would get there act together with packing for delivery, although being in Australia I never buy direct from Hornby, I'd like to but their international postage is cost prohibitive compared to independent UK retailers, and still quite a bit cheaper than buying locally in oz, especially UK flash sales etc. Great review. ..Drew

@@drewsmodelrailwayworld4856 I’ve still got to understand what I paid for international delivery- exchanged emails with Hornby trying to understand why all 4 were not shipped in a single package. I was charged delivery on each. They said they’d refund something.

You should have removed one of the bodies as I'm dying to see these new patterned seats created by hydro dipping.

I was wondering on these then decided to order only to find they are all sold out everywhere. Damn it.

I've got the full rake on order. Seeing you unboxing them way over the Pond got me worried what had happened to my order, so phoned up my little local model shop in Kings Langley called Junction 20. The Hornby rep told him there's a second shipment due and not to worry. That doesn't help me though as a fellow KZbinr to maybe create my own little video of them.

No point, plenty of reviews on KZbin.
@andrewdkingАй бұрын
@northernblue1093 Well quite, I've sort of missed the boat this time. I did reasonably well on the Hattons Genesis and Hornby Midland Pullman carriages though.

Fantastic coaches, and the interior looks sublime. Is it easy to get inside to add passengers?
@worthingtonmodelrailway8628Ай бұрын
Interesting you ask as I was just looking at that, looks like the sides of the coaches can be eased up, probably using the business card trick, I'll try to include along with an interior shot in next video!

LNER STREAMLINERS 1935-39 - NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN ! Great if your modelling the two year period this train operated on the LNER (1937-39). Which World War Two put an end to all these 3 streamlined trains. The "Silver Jubilee" (from 1935), the "Coronation" with observation car, and the "West Riding" from 1937 to 1939. Realistically limiting their usefulness on any Model Railway I would say !!!
@TimberSurfАй бұрын
I saw them on making tracks 4, absolutely beautiful coaches, very tempted as I like the look, but just too rich for my pocket and I don't do LNER, or I might have succumbed. Have you ordered the observation car too?
@andrewdkingАй бұрын
I filmed them on the Making Tracks Layout at GETS after filming Hornby's Locomotion in motion. The Hornby staff told me to go look at the big layout so to see the full rake in action.

No we couldn't read the text on the box, nor see the magnetic couplings. A mixture of low resolution on the text and not focusing on the close-up. Are you filming 4K yet ?
@worthingtonmodelrailway8628Ай бұрын
@@andrewdking I’ll add a better resolution to both on to my next “running” video this was done quickly last night after they arrived yesterday.
@andrewdkingАй бұрын
@worthingtonmodelrailway8628 I definitely recommend the magnetic couplings. They were also supplied with Hornby's Midland Pullman carriages. They are perfect for fixed rakes like these where no shunting needs to be done.
