Bally released BEAT THE CLOCK in 1985, the second to the last game designed by George Christian (His final game is 1985 Williams LADY LUCK.) Only 500 made, and a few prototypes as you will learn, had four flash lamps that were eliminated on the production run.
Beat the Clock has unlimited balls to play, but your game is TIMED. SImilar to Gottlieb's JAMES BOND 007 in 1980, these "Time Units" could be earned by hitting specific targets. In this version, the "Clock" can be STOPPED for unlimited time (until a start clock switch is hit) so some serious flipper skills are needed!
However, this machine has a feature not used in all of the electronic pinball machines made from current back to 1977! WHAT is that?? Its actually eye-opening...and a pretty neat feature! Watch and LEARN!
The "Yoppsicles" we show you and use can be ordered from only one place. Here is the link to Dave Yoppa's neat new LED'S! Cut and Paste this Link! pinside.com/pinball/market/sh...
