Hey Brent! I work in construction project management renovating old buildings. We have our windows out for the winter too. Corex, 3 mil poly, and weatherstripping will help keep water and snow out of the hotel if your windows don't come in time. Good luck!!!

Who needs television when there is epic content like this on KZbin. I found the channel as you were moving in. I belive it was the algorithm in action from watching MBMM with Jason. Then to see him on the channel years later was a full circle moment. Then to see Dave Sparks helping was another full circle moment. Be safe buddy.

Then to see Dan Hurd that was a hit for me. Some great collaborations with other You Tuber's for sure. Don't forget Jax from Wild Wild West who helped Dave Sparks with his cattle hauling cabover truck . I would wish the abundance of firewood up in Montana that would be generous for Jax or Sparks to bring Brent a Semi load of firewood. There is still a lot of natural dead wood that could be trimmed out of the trees if the extra help went for a hike bring some back. He has Llamas and they could be used as pack animals.

Hi Brent, I think I have a really good name for your new addition to the Cerro Gordo family. Cerro Gordo is a Spanish word (meaning fat hill . But I'm sure you knew that). I tried to think of a Spanish name that expressed what a blessing this donation was. So I thought why not the word blessing in Spanish which is bendición. Though it is kind of a strange sounding name I thought you could call him Benny for short. Just like you are a blessing in our lives by going through this journey to revive history Benny is going to be a blessing to you in many ways during the in the winter and beyond. ❤🙏❤️

Hey Brent looking at that truck I must say the obvious. " OLD YELLER " the work that you have put into the town is amazing and this coming summer I plan to drive down there to personally see and view what you have done . I started to follow your channel about four months before the Hotel disaster . Seeing that and the pain you went through , then how you came back to forge ahead has been heart warming . Some people may think you are nuts or going crazy but I can see that you really care about what you are doing . I hope that come this summer you will allow me to visit Cerro Gordo . PS I hope that you pick " OLD YELLER " as the truck's name . See you soon !...!...!

Those letters written to Francis Smith was the spark that got me thinking “I wonder if he was writing to Francis Marion Smith , the Borax king “ who made fortunes from his discoveries in that area . The 20 mule teams made his “ White Gold “ discoveries famous . Porter definitely was a mover & a player who apparently made his contribution, but as you mentioned flew under the radar as the history books go. Thanks Brent for All you share & do there .

15:53 Awesome job, internet team! So much positivity and can-do, in locations which are a huge connectivity challenge! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 19:33 and 20:28 and 20:33 and 20:52 This is such a splendid, long-term solution to the road wash-out situation! Not only are you conserving that vital H2O in places that would benefit (Cerro Gordo's plantings); you are also creating a landscape architecture feature! Water cascades in a 'stair-stepping pattern', that serve an important function, but are also beautiful to look at, and listen to! A superb solution for recycling the tailings which are also part of the site's history. Great job!

Hey Brent! Couple quick questions: 1). Have you tried using a UV flashlight in any of the mines? 2). Have you seen any snakes at that altitude? Also following your journey at CG from the start is hands down one of the best stories unfolding on KZbin! Thanks for the awesome content! I can't wait to make it out there one day!.. Hopefully you're able to read/reply to this and the other thousands of comments now that you have good internets :)

I work for a lumber yard in AK, and windows have always had an insane lead time, especially if they are a non-stock size. And, it doesn't matter which manufacturer you purchase from. I wish you well on the window adventure.

Something that I'm sure a lot of your viewers would enjoy would be 24hr webcams around the town, so we could check in on progress at any time, and see how the weather is up there. I know I'd love to see that.

I had an FJ-40 1973 w a plow... from WI... paid few thousand for it in 90's, rust free... loved it for 4-5 years in Midwest trips... (after I sold the plow..). never see those prices ever again! lol. But! a 10 ton, F... cool assed, utility truck! w plow! for free! now you are talking bro! Not like a Duece in 1/2.... deals on those for the power and terrain you can take them, and campability to build out.... yours is a cool truck for MN as I am located... winter especially! Seen a video or two over the years, but back to you.... and YOU have such a cool existence up there! hopefully it was crowd funded and not a company bank account.... lol. how some videos here are! but see a true honest intent... local stepping up 1. this could be a special community PARK area to visit in the future for the new generation!! Cheers! love the epesode, and the others to come bro......

@@1996FordBronco 1979 F-350 Super Cab, 40 years ago it was a flat bed and then I found a Name brand utility box for it for $250, also had to buy bigger tools to work on it coming from a Bicentennial year of 1976 F-150. A 1 ton beast. Old School has less plastics and more steel also weighs more. It's great in the mountains. I see you give MORR a glimpse or two as well. He has built some crazy wild $hit for sure. Brent did very well in last year's Off Road Games. March 2025 Games is going to be another interesting show to watch. The best part is about 2 months later Matt gives a generous donation to handicap children events and that playground for handicap children was sooooo cool! and also donates to his "office" area.
