I actually have a set of hydraulic brakes but I don't feel like changing them out. I might look at semi-hydraulic brake callipers to put in. That way, they are still cable pulled.

I have this bike, & it's fine with just upgrading to Shimano BR M-375 mechanical brakes, I live in Reno Nevada & ride a lot out on mountain roads, & with the Shimano brakes I have way more braking confidence. Another thing that needs to be changed is the kickstand, you need to upgrade to a side kickstand, the stock 1 is dangerous because it's too low & snags on anything higher than a few inches

I've never suffered any brake fade trying emergency stops loaded up with my fishing gear from top speed and that's 4-5 times in a row which wouldn't happen in real life circumstances . Upgrade for your own peace of mind yes but it's not necessary , it's not a competition race bike but it will quite happily pull a trailer loaded with fishing gear and a fat lazy stoner riding it 20 miles up the coast and back safely stopping with no problems.

I think the front brake should be hydraulic at least. Thankfully the front brake is easier to upgrade than the rear. I would put a 4 piston one on the back

I like the simple utilitarian look of the bike and it is nicely equipped except for the brakes. It is currently $1699 and I think that is a good value. But if it was priced at $1799 with hydraulic Tektros then I think most people would prefer it with better brakes vs saving a hundred bucks. Utility bikes often do a lot of urban riding with frequent stops. This is a nice bike with a 20 amp hour battery and it deserved better brakes.

UPDATE. There was a recall on these. The frames were cracking. The problem has since been fixed, but there's still lots of these original models out there still being sold. The newer model with the reinforced frame is called the FIIDO T1 PRO. Don't forget, PRO are the new ones.

I like it! A huge plus for me is it's got mag wheels, so no messing with loose or broken spokes, ever. I'm sick of that nonsense. And it's got a huge battery- 20AH. The seat actually has springs. The Rad Runner doesn't have all this.

I own one an this this thing FLYS! (especially uphill) What's also cool is that it will do 28 mph on throttle only as opposed to other bikes that will only go that fast on pedal assist.

I already mounted a centre console from a Radrunner bike to my Fiido T1. That's the centre plastic box with the lid for carrying stuff. It fitted perfectly except I had to small holes to make in the plastic. The problem with the Radrunner box is the lid has unhelpful cup-holder which gets in the way really. But overall its useful for carrying things like locks etc.

@@MichaelRei99 This is why 99% of ebike reviews on KZbin are garbage. They get paid with free bikes from Chinese bike brands to say nice things and then they get to sell the bikes. If a reviewer gives an honest tough review he will get a bad reputation with the manufacturers. Go find me a review from a professional KZbin ebike reviewer saying that the bike is bad and he would not recommend it. Go ahead and post a link here. (I won’t hold my breath waiting)

my fiido t1 now has just 100 miles on it.The rear brake rotor came with all the attaching screws stripped. The extended warrant i purchased is worthless because the company has no support system in place. t he dealer has no clue where to get the machine repaired and has no parts available.Trying to contact the company by phone is hopeless, as the number on the site does not work.

The price is honestly a lot less than I thought for something that looks good and doesn't seem bodged together like so many eBikes out there, with so much power. I'm curious how the wheels hold up over time since they can't be trued or rebuilt.

@@1mp0r7g4m3r The motor is inside the wheel and can be taken out, if you can find the same rim without the motor you could swap rims. The chances of your rendering this rim useless though is extremely unlikely.. you'd need to be in a deadly crash

I got one. But had cut 2 inches off the seat stem and change to a shorter seat. So I could touch the ground better. Other wise a great E Bike. I am only 7 feet 8 and have a 30 inseam. Dam I,m short.

It's way better than a Rad Runner in every way, it's faster, it's a 7 speed, bigger battery, better rims, more torque, & actually can climb hills up to 40° with light pedaling, I accidentally got stuck on some technical Mountain bike trails here in Reno Nevada, & I was totally surprised that this thing got me out, even driving through a creek, no issues afterwards! 💯👍

At level 3 power and no peddling I get 50ish miles, depending on hills. Level 2 is where you can assist the motor at the top speed and I get 75ish miles at 30kph. I'm sure I can get over 100 miles at level 1 (20kph) but I didn't buy it to go slow. ;)

This frame has a recall, some people the frame breaked in half, fiido issued e recall and new frames are reinforced in the middle where it breaked, the bike on this video does not have that frame

Let mi gess ... this is made in ... I have no idea, but it is not legal in UE, too much speed and power. This is casified as a motorcycle. E bikes speed limit 25km/h and power limit to 250W. But looks cool and it can be use to do shopping or other things. I like it.
