Also, you can take the real goldy brass look out with a light rub down with an ultra fine scotch bright pad 👍. That’s usually what I do for “satin”. And if you go easy you should cut through the brass plating.

Out of all the wood working channels I watch, there’s just something different about your work. The design, the angles, the commentary etc… Everything you do is truly a work of art and I love it. I’ve seen the previous L-shape desk you’ve made and I regret getting the desk I have now because I would love to have a desk like this! Keep up the great work! ❤

As a young man I was obsessed with finishing my 8 hour work day, and then my 6 hours 'refurb my house' time, and then watching Norm Abraham on some home channel. I loved not necessarily his finished items but his craftsmanship and methods and the fact that he had every powertool, jig, machine and gizmo known to woodcrafting. He was a nice guy too. I had to give up my workshop when I moved house and self flagelated myself with an insane workload and now at 51 I yearn to get a workshop back, gather up all my tools, a van, and get back on the tools. You guys are the modern day 'Norms' (not 'Normos') with your videos and craftsmanship and ethos. So massively watchable and the mid century style you have is right up my street. Fantastic work and I will be diving down the educational rabbit hole this channel provides time and time again and learning masses from it. Hopefully when I finish all my current property portfolio with my creative brain smashing the interiors, and kick back, I will come and visit you and do a course and hang out. To the trolls.... get a f******g GRIP! This stuff is fractionally distilled excellence! From The UK with a manhug. Well done and keep on keeping on! Paul Million.

Man, I love the attitude you're taking about people using your designs. As someone who is getting into this craft, I have often wondered about how I might build my skillset. I think copying other people's work to use in my own home is a great way to do it. But, then what do you do when you build the next thing? You can't just stack all of these pieces up in your garage. Selling those practice projects makes a lot of sense. You're even taking it a little farther. I would not have probably set out to build another person's design for the purpose of reselling at a profit. The fact that you have given the green light to do so on small scale is really cool.

I hardly can't believe there's people around spending life's precious time in disliking what other peoples do. What went wrong after they were born. Why disagree on anything that's free to watch or to not watch. There's a lot of truth in what you said about change. People often do not like change. And why change a winning team. You only do that with good reason. And good reasons aren't always obvious reasons. So now there's again a good reason for change and people again don't like it. Shaun is an excellent woodworker and so are you. And we're watching a woodworkers channel so what's up with that negativity. Go search for a mirror, look yourself into your hateful eyes and ask yourself the only question left. Who should be punched íf anyone ever should be punched. You guys, both of you, I love your work, I love your style, I love your comments, I love your little plays. Live your life and never let that negativism in.

Man, this one got me. We chatted via phone right after Shawn had moved into your shop. Your tone was excited and anxious. Your guys’ wood-shop diaries series was SUCH a breath of fresh air. From ‘wave heads, to bro-dap sound overs, to other Chris’s infectious wheezing laugh. Thank you for all you chaps have done. Best of luck to the both of you as the seasons of life inevitably change. Keep on keepin’ on.

The way that you shared your work, moved me. I have no plans to build anything but thought wow that is love. I guess I share/give my work all the time to but never considered it or how it might make others feel.

I have seen a few of your videos over the last few days, and I just have to say, you seem like such a genuinely good guy and that is awesome to see. No major cash grabs, Not everything is a product placement, and you are even giving out detailed plans. I am trying to learn how to make detailed plans before I get going on my projects, and that is gonna help a ton! Thank you!

What an awesome video. You are a fantastic storyteller. I know nothing about woodworking, but your love for your challenging projects shows every step of the way. It is easy to tell how you feel about your work and how you find the challenges so interesting. I felt compelled to watch your whole video. "I never watch anything like this". Listening to your approach and watching you work in such a way where you show such little importance about yourself is so motivating. I love the fact that you want to share your knowledge and ideas for free. Giving back so others can learn to be as good or even better than you. And the best part is that you are good with all of it. Because you understand how good life can be.

Best woodworking channel. Sad to hear that Shaun is leaving but I’m also happy for him and I’ll be glad to follow his new adventure. I also really want to thank you. I felt bad because I’ve been working for a few weeks on a shoes rack for me, inspired by your moon fry nightstand design and course. Hearing what you said helps a lot. I’m having a lot of fun building and learning. Your designs really made me start to learn how to create furnitures from a 3D software to reality. The course that I bought from you is just amazing for me as a guide. I’ve combined them with IRL woodworking lessons here in Montreal. Your videos are a huge motivation for me to progress. Thank you so much for all of your work.

Just found your channel, this is my second video and I'm blown away by the skill of the woodwork, the production quality of the video and how soothing your voice over is. I cannot even imagine the level of difficulty. Thanks for this.

This is a big source of inspiration for my upcoming project desk. So thank you and rest assured that your ideas live on, on the second floor of an old wooden house, near a lake, in the middle of Sweden.

Getting to this video late, but I just wanted to say that I really like the design of this desk. might not mean much, but it is coming from some random internet guy who also just happened to spend a couple of decades designing desks and conference tables. Armchair critics are common, but few people are willing to put their own work on display. I enjoy your channel. It makes me want to get back into the shop and make something.

You are an absolute artist. I would love to have a desk made by you. Its unfortunate that it cost to much to get well-made furniture. Its unattainable to the "regular" person. The things you make are unique and amazing my friend.

Your channels individually were some of the channels that made me take up woodworking. I have had to take a break for 6 months from woodworking. It only seems fitting that your channels will be running individually as I re-enter the woodworking world. I loved your collaboration but if this leads to more success for the two of you, then I wish you all the best. Thank you for all the amazing content.
