When I count the ferry to Irland from Holly Head, Wales. They started ratchet-strapping the car from the tow points. The ferry was packed as all the fast catamarans had been cancelled due to rough seas. The captain warned us of rough seas and told us just to remain seated and not move about. Then said he was not sure if we would be able to dock in Ireland due to the rough seas but said he would try. Luckily we did dock, but the front of the ship was lifting out of the water and crashing back down and everything would shake! Luckily the was not too much sway due to the stabilizer system, but still was an experience.

It was great to see Cruzie get his "sea legs" that last bathroom break we saw. Finding the worker-friend the time before no doubt helped. But Cruz was finally adjusted and strutting along his usual relaxed self. Phew! It was great to see other folks with their dogs having the same issues. Dog owners have automatic bond. I think we're all excited to see you get home too, Chrome.

On the Haida Gwaii boat I took in May, it left at 10pm and is 7hr. I just slept in a chair. Some people actually set up small tents in the isle which I found very surprising. No one stopped them and they slept away the whole trip.

Chrome just wanted to let you know that the starlink mini has the built in router on the dish just keep in mind that if the dish gets too warm the router will over heat. just wanted to caution you on that.

I'm glad Cruzie made friends and they were all able to feel better after several hours. After sleeping on byses and planes, I'm thinking stretching out on a bed might be worth it. The best thing of this video was that you showed the people how you deal with Cruz on a trip like this. I used to take my Lab-rottie with me everywhere in my van, but most people don't know how we take care of our animal on a ride like that. Some people have no idea and some have much incorrect information when it comes to dealing with animals. Cruz is well cared for by a great doggie daddy. The ferry was beautiful and fog is just part of water travel. I loved this video !

Hi Chrome, There is nothing more relaxing than to travel by ship no matter the size. I have traveled many times and it's always when arriving I don't have jet lag which is fantastic. My wife and I did an epic, 32,000km cross Canada road trip last summer in our F150 using hotels and AirBnb to make our way across all those kilometres, and we absolutely loved it. We have plans for another big trip next Spring/Summer. One of our challenges was trying to eat healthy, stay fit and NOT gain too much weight. Despite driving and sitting so much, we were surprised at how many steps we got each day, with many, according to our FitBit well over 10,000. It’s amazing how much walking you can do when travelling if hiking and exploring is part of your journey. We actually both lost weight, which was a bonus! Watching your channel for some time now and jealous of how well (and at times, how much) you seem to eat but still look great! Thanks for allowing us to join your journey each day and enjoy the down season!

Chrome I made this trip in the mid 1970's on the Queen of Prince Rupert, you were in luxury compared to that ship. I was sea sick from Rupert to Kelsey Bay where she landed then. The whole trip was rough not just the open water area. Too bad the weather was not better for you but I lived in Rupert and Stewart for 5 years and fog and rain were the norm and raincoat and boots our main wardrobe. It is beautiful when the sun shines though. Cruzie did really well, shows you how long they can hold it if they have too. Enjoy being back on your home turf.

We stayed in that very rest stop after our ferry ride. We had a great ferry day September 2023 and saw more whales then on a paid whale cruise. Loved it.

Next year…you might be booking the ferry at the start of the season…not the end! This will make the difference in terms of available seats,cabins etc. Great journey though. I don’t think Cruz liked it…however he tolerated it well. Treats a plenty. 😂

Many years ago I took the ferry back to Pr Rupert from Haida Gwaii. All the kayaker and hikers just pitched their tents on the bow. It was so cool....probably not permitted anymore....sigh

I went on a Cruise 🚢 last November and it was amazing and so beautiful but I got sick as a dog. 🤢 The storms had us tossing side to side and i was taking Dramamine like candy . I was so glad to be back on land. I like the beach trips better. 😂
