Vietnamese luxury overnight buses are amazing and cheaper . ... Da Nang was known as Cửa Hàn during early Đại Việt settlement, and as Tourane or Turon during French colonial rule The city’s origins date back to the ancient kingdom of Champa, established in 192 AD. The city’s present name is generally agreed to be a Vietnamese adaptation of the Cham word da nak, which is translated as “opening of a large river.

Thank you for your time and posting. As far as I know, I'll travel from Hanoi to HCMC for a few months, then take the train back to Hanoi, I think it is a 32-hour ride.

There're some routes where they use brand new cars with only 2 beds per cabin, thick mattresses, super nice super clean, but obviously much more expensive.

For a long time, Vietnamese people did not take trains anymore, mainly to transport goods and a few small customers. Train fares are sometimes higher than plane tickets and are very slow. They lost a lot of money so they haven't upgraded in the last 10-15 years

Great video. Why buy unhealthy snacks when you can get bananas, apples and lychee or longan? (All are easy to eat and not messy at all). Always travel with a 3d face (eye) mask so you can sleep anywhere under the Sun (no pun intended). Lastly, I've never seen anyone dry their clothes on the *floor* before, seems like a really bad idea (it's not clean and takes longer). Live long and prosper, and safe journeys! 🙂

When you are in new places, try out new foods otherwise you are missing out. Stay away from oily and chili foods if you have a weak stomach. Other than that Vietnamese foods are comfort to the stomach.

Vietnamese rail company really needs to fix those overflowed toilet bowls on their trains. I travelled by trains occasionally growing up in VN, I can see the trains get considerably better, but the same problem remain, the overflowed toilet bowls. It ruined so many mornings for me lol :))

Train sucks in Vietnam, too dirty and noisy. For the same price you can take a plane and take around 1 1/2 hours fly

The train is the worst mode of transportation in VN . The railways company is owned by the government and so far no investment has been done to improve the quality of the cabins and the tracks . The Vietnamese people consider the train as the poorest member of the transportation family . When you travel in VN , always take the plane or the luxury bus .
