I loved this video and the shots at the end were just crazy, I'm sure you were glad to *finally* get off the ferry! Although to be fair, the scariest part of the whole journey was driving up and down that narrow ramp :D

@steve-marsh it's definitely sketchy going down that narrow gap and smells extra fishy down there! 😅 Can't believe we entered Aberdeen with the waves battering the lighthouse like that! We actually had a much worse journey after this one but didn't record anything 😭

Nice one, Steve, I subscribe to your channel too. I really enjoyed this vlog. I'm loving the North Link Ferries and the trips to Orkney and Shetland. There's something very real and down to earth about these.

Great video, I absolutely love the ferry journey, its cheaper for me as I have to do shetland on a small budget, it's a sense of adventure on the ferry

Thank you! It does always feel like an adventure when you board 😊 One day we'll have to brave it without a cabin! 😂

You two are incredibly stoic when faced with big seas. I've experienced Force 10 in the Sea of Japan before, but the timescale was a lot less than 17 hours.

The 17 hours can take its toll 😂 We've experienced Force 10 too, pretty hard-core isn't it?! 😬 Thanks for watching!

I hate to say it but there ain't a lot you can do except be stoic Stamp your feet, scream and holler, put in a written complaint...the North Sea in winter is gonna be a bitch whatever you do...

I was obviously fortunate a couple of weeks ago, sea as smooth as silk in both directions. My car was also positioned in the corner of the lower deck, was last but one to leave the vessel. Excellent vessel, excellent crew.

I have been on its sister ship when it's up and down and side to side. Including 8 hours circling Aberdeen like a Cork in the water.
