I did this trip to Kirkwall five years ago in October ,great trip I did not have a cabin just slept on the couch in the saloon ,best part of the trip was the sunset.

Ah man, you don't have much luck with the cabins! Last time you were at the back (lots of rattling), this time you were right at the front (bumpy!). Those cabins are bumpy even on a flat calm night.

It's a video of our ferry journey from Aberdeen to Lerwick and it happened to be pitch black as it was in winter, so if there was orca there we wouldn't have been able to see them. However we were heading to Shetland in the search of orca (which will be in the following videos).
