Even ads have started including the forces. I'm really glad of this change. we are not talking about mixed regiments but pure paltans, if you talk of indivisual battalions then kumaon alone has more than jakli and jakrif put together and dogras are mostly from himachal moreover kumaon has the 1st PVC and also the most singular battle honors of any regiment as of now, and i'm not even counting the redundant battle honors

I just could not stop but watch this video till the end. I had a big proud smile in my face till the end and a small tear drop in my eye as this video refreshed all my childhood memories. I was born and brought up in Ranikhet which is the headquarters of Kumaon Regiment and I could relate to all the colours, war cry that we use to listen every single day by the recruits while going to training ground, the bugle at quarter guard, the music from pipe band, the song, the bada khana, the kumaoni soldiers, their dress.... everything. i am a proud witness to an event of a ceremonial procedure conducted to honor a soldier, guman singh from kumao regiment who received veer chakra from maharaja of mysore in the year around 1958~59, he was an inmate in red cross home, as a disabled patient of that hospital. located at kensigton road, ulsoore, Bangalore, where my father was employed, where we stayed in the campus. this small hospital was inaugurated by the viceroy, lord mount batten in the year 1946 for the war veterans.

He statue Is there in front of Srinagar Airport . My salutes to you . Kumavoon Regiment , 114 / 120 made Supreme sacrifice at Rezang La killing about 300 Chinese and chasing 1300 China troops back .
