Jai Hind Major Saab. I remember those days, on 8/7/16 Burhan Wani was eliminated and our tour program to visit J&K was fixed on 11/7. Yes, we continued the journey, the Amarnath Yatra was also going on. We were stopped at Banihal in the afternoon, all were stopped, hardly any space to park but J&K police took supportive and bold step to help. After 11pm, we were allowed to move in a convoy, saw the langars were running flawlessly. Reached Srinagar at 3 PM boarded in hotel. Bandh and stone pelting report we got but the common people were helpful. We enjoyed shikara ride, visiting Sankaracharya moth, chasmashahi, parimahal and all were normal with the help of local people. Next, we left for Ladakh after three days at 3pm at night, saw the presence of Indian Army everywhere to help and protect. I salute them for their dedication. It's a lengthy story. Beside your channel, I also follow the blog of Karolina Goswami, the India in Reality, a Polish by birth, Christian by belief but true Sonatoni Indian in spirit, roasting the international India baiters with facts and statistics. Major Bakshi is horrible on TV. No general shouts in real life. I heard a lecture by the general who planned kargil war..he minutely explained the difficulties in planning, the mistakes he made in hindsight, the lessons he learnt. Full full professionalism and honesty like a docter,surgeon talking of his surgery. Dispassionate. Humble. Focussed. And so so human. My respect for generals work really shot up from that. Its not just shooting, tanks,planes. Salutes,staff cars,parties, big houses. How thoroughly he did his work of planning every detail. In reality the work is so hard. Every step is planned. Junior officers only execute the plan. They don't think. They don't know everything. A general does..he is God. Invisible. But he is the mastermind. His mind. Is the war. The outcome depends on his experience and learning. No wonder our generals are so invisible,queit,out of sight. They are watching, imbibing everything. They are not wasting time on TV debates. They hardly get time to watch TV. Busy in their work, appointments. Emotional people don't become generals just because they are patriotic. Its intelligence and education

It was in that TV show I saw Mr. Arya and became an instant fan of how he spoke his mind and gave unfiltered, brutal, honest rebuttals to barkha dutt who kept on harping about why was it necessary to kill burhan and not injure and take him into custody. another person I saw and admired was major surendra punia during the same period.
