This is a really terrific series. Thank you so much and thank you so very very much for your shout out about the Venice the series crowdfunding. It has been a deeply important project for Crystal and Jessica and they've done a wonderful job. Here we are 15 years later and I'll tell you / Venice still live they are really my favorite storyline. Season 7 is on track

The Hours, such a good movie. “Always to look life in the face. To know it for what it is. To love it for what it is. And then, to put it away”

it really is, it took me a while to figure out it was Nicole Kidman as Virginia Woolf when I first watched it XD

Let me add a big thumbs up for the "Hours" dvd with a commentary track featuring Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore and Nicole Kidman. It's like having them in the living room with you discussing the scenes and their acting choices as you watch the film together. Priceless.

Me too! When I watched when it came out, I figured it out... at the very end lmao.

Omg. Otalia _literally_ changed the trajectory of my life. It's always weird after a decade later to hear the portmanteau spoken - like an affair strangers don't know I had, lol. Probably the only of 2 fandoms I was unapologetically a part of that gifted me unforgettable memories and lifelong friends. Also, due to the way GL filmed towards the end of the series, you could, and probably still can, visit some "Springfield" locations in Peapack, NJ - a short train ride from NYC. Anyways, it's a great story only due to the acting and chemistry of Chappell & Leccia. There were a lot of questionable writing choices in this storyline. Folks who are looking for a kiss or any kind of relationship consummation will have to tune in to any of the 3 other projects (that i'm aware of) that they did together. While Venice the Series is an easy reconmendation, A Million Happy Nows is an emotional one that's not hard to find, while "The Grove" is out there under the radar. Thanks again for another great list that calls for some rewatches and discovering! So glad I found your channel! ❤

Agree that there were a lot of 'questionable' writing choices, but it was addictive as hell. I only just caught it in the last 6 months and binged on Venice the Series like a crazy person. A Million Happy Nows is a hidden gem as far as I'm concerned. ❤

Thank you for this series, LOVE it! I'm re-watching Otalia thanks to your recommendation of Flying Witch's channel. & I finally purchased Seasons 3 - 6 of Venice. I cannot properly articulate the profound effect Otalia had on me when I first watched it. I felt seen and not so alone in what I was going through. So grateful for the women (writers, producers and the actresses) who took chances to bring that story to life. Really looking forward to Season 7 of Venice!

Oh yay, I hope you enjoy! Same, Otalia and Venice were incredibly important to me.

“Call my agent” is very much worth continuing. It’s not ideal but there is a happy ending for Camille Cottin’s character

5:40 The Page Turner had a fair bit of sapphic tension even though they don’t get together. Late Bloomers was a super feel-good film. I’ve got it on VHS but nothing to play it on any more! And Ylenia Baglietto who plays Maite in Acacias 38 is absolutely crush worthy 🥰 Thank you for this series. I feel represented 🤗

The page turner is a very good psychological thriller with exceptional actresses (french actress Catherine Frot and belgian actress Deborah Francois). 👍🏼

You should check out Julianne Moore's miniseries of this year, Mary & George. It's great, well written, pretty much gay and she plays a sapphic character.

Couldn't find part 1 so pardon any duplication with these recommendations: 8 Women (8 Femmes) 80 Days The Affair (The Glase House) Ammonite Anais in Love Bloomington Bobbie's Girl The Bostonians Cloudburst Finn's Girl Forgotten Roads The Guitar Hannah Free The Heiresses Lipstikka Losing Chase Moonlit Winter Maps to the Stars Mrs. Dalloway My Mother (Ma Mere) My Mother Likes Women (A Mi Madre le Gustan las Mujeres) The Red Skirt (Manuela's Loves; Le Jupon Rouge) Sand Dollars The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister So My Grandma is a Lesbian T11 Incomplete Tru Love Two of Us (Deux) An Unexpected Love Vivere Maybe some of those don't have overly mature ladies in them, but they're certainly not in their teens or twenties. I left out some I think you surely would've covered (Loving Annabelle, A Perfect Ending, etc) and others I couldn't remember the age of the actresses. Thanks for the lists. ❤👭🌈👍

I can't recall if I liked the movie as a whole, but Robin Weigert gives a great performance in "Concussion." She is perhaps best known for playing Calamity Jane in Deadwood. I don't know how Weigert personally identifies, but in almost every role of hers I see a very credible lesbian! Terrific actress too.

I love concussion - it is interesting because there a lot of different types of relationships explored - with the main character's wife, an infatuation, all her clients, and herself. It's not a typical plot, and i think it's intriguing (also with some nice sexytimes).
