After going in cinematic you need to hold the acceleration button a while so horse starts moving then you can let go of controller. Then by tapping accel. button you can speed up or tap the slow button to slow. Tap cinematic button to exit auto ride

You can also fast travel from the camp you can set up Arthur has on him. That fast travel gos to so many different and unique places around the map. It’s literally the only way I travel now and yet nobody knows about it. So much easier than using the fast travel at camp or using the train or stage coach.

Old video, but something to note. Horses that have their ears back (down) will be harder to open satchel and almost never let you get both sides. Ride them until they are absolutely exhausted, jump off and try, repeat again, or shoot the horse so it lands with untouched satchel facing up. Horses that have their ears perked up are very friendly, just get some extra trust first.

I tried doing stealth in a mission. this guy was pissing on a tree and his two friends had their back turned to him. I killed him silently with a throwing knife and got discovered immediately. So I guess stealth is pretty bad unfortunately.

2:54 If you look at the horses ears, which is modelled off real life effects and meanings, you can tell if it will buck. If a horses ears are backed towards its mane, it will buck because it is unnerved or angry, etc. If it's ears are forward, then it is friendly and won't buck.

Another thing that they don’t tell you is if you accidentally run into someone on your horse it is a crime and you will be shot at and stage coaches won’t work for you if you have a bounty
