American Football is one of the most violent and punishing sports in the world. Yes, the players know that they will always take vicious hits, and that they’re forever risking their long-term health. That’s just the nature of the game.
But while most players know the difference between clean, safe tackles and a dangerous hit or cheap shot, there are always going to be some guys who don’t care about crossing the line.
Here are 17 instances where an NFL player committed a heinous on-field act that should have resulted in a 15-year sentence, instead of just a 15-yard penalty.
Don’t forget to subscribe to TPS and make sure you hit the bell and turn on our notifications and join the notification squad.

@@esterixis Burfict was an extremely dirty player in HS football at Centennial HS in California s well. I've been officiating in So Cal for 20 years and he is the dirtiest player I've ever encountered. I ejected him from games in 2007 and 2008 during the regular season. CIF changed the 2008 ejection so he could play in a huge game as a senior.

J Rudolph caused it. He tried to rip off the defenders helmet, had his helmet removed, then still went after the defender while unprotected. He had a nasty concussion early in the season and should have know better to protect himself, and his reaction after the play shows he was looking for flags. The fines and suspension on the defender were more than enough.

Refreshing to find that in all of the KZbin videos available there is at least one person who knows how to speak in such a clear and understandable manner. I don't know what each states' penalty is for assault & battery, but had most of these CRIMES been committed on the street they would've resulted in more than a little cash and a few games suspension. My state they could be construed as Class B battery, 6-20 years upon conviction.

I will say what I've always said. That hit on Burfict was cheap, dirty, illegal, fucked up...... and the most beautiful thing I've ever seen happen on a football field. That playoff game was terrible, and that headshot on AB still makes me cringe every time I see it. I am very, very against cheap hits and headhunting in general, but that clip still makes me smile. He fucking deserved it, lady karma is a biiiiitch!

@aeromedical6750
@aeromedical6750 4 жыл бұрын
I’m a Raiders fan, and my hope is that Vontaze never suits up in the black and silver again. I don’t care if he’s a good player or not. He’s a dirty SOB who goes out of his way to inflict serious injury on other players. He goes beyond the normal “hard play” of the NFL. He targets players in venerable situations and tries to take them out permanently. He should have received a lifetime ban for last season’s incident.
@aeromedical6750
@aeromedical6750 4 жыл бұрын
@ALF Raydough - he’s laid similar hits on other players multiple times. One “Antonio Brown” type hit should be a minimum 4 game suspension. The second time - one full season suspension. Third time - outta the league. He’s on his 5th or 6th offense. Why wait until he cripples or causes serious head injury to another player before you finally kick his ass out of the league?
@ctruth6185
@ctruth6185 4 жыл бұрын
It was a dirty hit, the rules are rules. Today there are more rules. Punt return is being removed. They will eventually remove tacking completely from the game. Bring on the cyborgs. College should have more rules to protect them since they are volunteers. Pros are pampered too much.

@Dewayne Prater - ok Mr. Color sheriff. This idiocy of “the NFL is soft today” is garbage. If you allowed guys to hit QB’s like they did back in the 70’s, you wouldn’t have a schedule past week 3. Linebackers today are as big as a lot of defensive linemen were back in the 70’s. They are also much faster and hit with more force. If you didn’t protect players (especially QB’s) with these rule changes, you’d have nothing but 2nd and 3rd stringers playing that position for most of the season. Yeah, watching a guy get “lit up” on a crack back block may make for good television. Do you wanna see the starting QB on your team get massacred 3 seconds after he releases the ball? In the 70’s you could damn near commit felony assault to an offensive player and not get a penalty called. No thanks.

The fines are always the same for the same infraction. For instance a hit on a defenseless receiver is $15000 first offense and $20000 second offense always. No matter how egregious it is. If they get suspended that is arbitrary and can get reduced upon appeal. Fighting is $35,096. first offense. I guess the extra $96 is important.
