The boy version of Polly Pocket was Mighty Max. I had several of the toys. It even had an animated series. I could see a Mighty Max movie, maybe in the same tone as The Monster Squad. Also there is already a He-man movie, Masters of the Universe.

Plus both Christopher robin and paddington were really cute movies and pretty heart warming. I believe that the CEO at Mattel misunderstood to what Greta Gerwig lead her direction, when working on Barbie. I could actually see Hot Wheels, Magic 8 Ball, Rock Em & Sock Em Robots, and possibly Barney pushing through development, but i'm not sure about the others. I agree, as much as i adore Thomas The Tank Engine, its film adaptation is not going to be for every audience like Paddington Bear, and Christopher Robin. Plus, the fandom is like hellfire in recent times.
