IDK about Mr and Ms Potato Head being recast since their voices have in the franchises forever more than Ernest P as Slinky, but then again Cole Ninjago has been recast. They briefly shows up in Toy Story 4 but Mr Potato Head lines are archive recordings. The idea of the toys getting back to Andy thanks to his kids is interesting. Hope Toy Story 5 is good. Love the franchise but can the franchise end? LOL! I thought Lightyear was intended to be a new take on the franchise where there will be stories about human versions of toys that inspired them after Toy Story 4 which I initially thought it was the true finale due to Woody leaving the toys.

I want it to be Andy coming back and he hasa wife and kid, and somehow meets Bonnie who is now older and doesn't play with toys, and wants to give him his toys back so he can give them to his kids and the adventure is that that Woody needs to find his way back home. BUT the big thing I want to happen is that Sid comes back as the crazy adult who still remembers that the toys talked to him so he has been going crazy for YEARS wanting to find those toys and destroy them (or something within those lines). There's another piece of information about Andy that we don't know about, so before you rage and tell me his story already ended in Toy Story 3 (which I also thought it did), HEAR ME OUT !! So for many years throughout the Toy Story movies that we've already seen Andy in, the ONLY family members of his that we've seen, are his mother and baby sister Molly, but WHERE was his father during all of this ? If Disney hadn't pressured Pixar, I would've wanted to see a Cars 4 before a Toy Story 5. I'm not mad about a Toy Story 5 like so many people seem to be, but I just think we should've gotten a different sequel first. At least we know we're getting Inside Out 2 before then, but I think we should've given Cars a proper trilogy. Cars 2 doesn't count in my mind, so it's trilogy is not complete. I grew up with the Toy Story franchise seeing all of them in theaters but Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending for my generation. Toy Story 4 for me was ok... But I HATED how Bonnie treated Woody over a silly spork. So if Toy Story 5 would reunite the toys with Andy family... I think that would probably give both generations of the franchise a PROPER ending that could rival the ending to the third film. Andy would have to fix Woody and give him a voice box though. Then it would really be a full circle to let us know that Woody is DEFINITELY a family toy.

Here's what I have for ideas. Lightyear 2022 last yr was a bomb but here's what I believe can fix the issue. Toy story 5 how old do you think Andy is? He's probably around his late 20's or early thirties and he's out of college right?? He has a family. And guess what? Lightyear 2022 THAT! Wasn't a movie in 1995. That was a gag to make you believe it was from 1995 when it isn't. Because in modern day remakes, reboots they take older subjects and turn them into something different. How many times do you think spiderman and batman and superman and marvel have rebooted their characters? Alot of times. This movie is about boosting sales in merchandise to keep the brand alive. Not because we asked for it. Here's the difference, toy story is 25/27 yrs old. And lightyear is only 1 yr old. Lightyear toys were made last yr for the movie, what if? Toy story 5 is about this: Andy took his kids to see the reboot of his favorite toy from when he was a kid and when he saw the ending it gave him a thought about his old buzz lightyear he donated to Bonnie yrs ago. So his thoughts are get the toys back but because his kids like the movie they ask for the new movies merchandise and it's here the new buzz lightyear gets a new toy and the original buzz lightyear meets the new buzz but their origins are completely different. Same with zurg. New toy new difference. Chris Evans voices his buzz lightyear but now instead of a human it's a toy from his movie and Tim Allen buzz voices his buzz but his character was from the cartoon series not a movie. Maybe it's possible the villain is a space toy from a unused toy story 3 script and then Tempus from morph can be reintroduced as a early backstory to buzz's origins from the original & he's the little brother of him. The new zurg and the new villain can team up because the villain is dax blaster a un produced non manufactured prototype of a new space ranger toy from the older buzz lightyear toy line but blames the original buzz for not getting a chance and it's here the new buzz has to take over the originals place because something happens to the buzz we know. And maybe utility belt buzz could return? I like the idea of putting new vs what was before. The story could be about Andy's son maybe wanting the new buzz lightyear but when Andy gets his toys back and his old buzz lightyear toy the story gets deep in writing. Also it could be about both ways: Andy wants get woody and his toys back, his kid wants the new movie buzz lightyear and something transpires between the two buzz's and because woody has been lost for a long time Andy is panicking because he wants to know where he is and so buzz and the new buzz go out on a mission maybe Jesse too if possible goes with them to find woody and along the way the new buzz is curious about the old one why he does not act like a space ranger and stuff. So along the way they run across and find Alicia Hawthorne as a toy from the movie and Tempus is with her and utility belt buzz makes a return and the new buzz being the diluted space ranger he is like his older counterpart he shows off trying to impress Jesse or something but Tempus and the original buzz they slowly begin bonding and developing a brotherhood with each other and discover they are actually brothers in the early origins from the older story. And how Tempus was discontinued during the changes to the writing of the story the cartoon series. And was forgotten about. So dax blaster was a work in development concept near the end of the series before it was discontinued but a prototype toy of dax blaster was made. And he wants to take out the original buzz. Because he has no idea who the new one is. It's a difference in detail. Then at the end of the movie dax badly damages buzz and Tempus is trying to help him fight alongside utility belt buzz commanding an army of old utility belt buzz lightyears and new buzz lightyear space rangers from the movie along with Izzy's, mos, darbs, and soxs and commander burnsides, zaps and guards. Woody and Bo and the group of toys help buzz and Tempus against dax & then they finally destroy him. For good. Buzz is badly hurt so everyone around him is sad seeing him badly damaged and the new buzz comes close and he tells the new buzz "You're up now buddy. Space rangers they never lie. Too infinity" and the new buzz says "and beyond. Space ranger." Then they complete the phrase like the movie and buzz and Woody they stare at another one last time along with Tempus as this was the final moment after buzz discovered Tempus was his bro during the last moments of his toy life. Then buzz goes off. He has passed. Everyone mourns their brave fallen toy friend and the new buzz lightyear takes the step up for the originals place. And with Andy finally getting woody back along with the rest of his toys; Tempus and utility belt buzz stay behind to continue their operations working alongside commander Hawthorne. At their own new base. They believe is star command but it's a factory. And then the story ends with the new buzz being played with alongside woody knowing that their buzz is up there in the sky to the infinity and beyond. And the new buzz can be the successor for the original. And that fixes one of the things about it being tied to toy story. How hard is that to write? Yeah they already done that with the second movie but this about the new buzz we're talking about and the old one retiring. It's just a concept I have but this makes lightyears connection to toy story world fit properly. It wasn't a movie in 1995 Andy watched it was a movie in 2022 he saw with his kids that made him believe he was a kid again in the 90's. Like a daydream. And if they make the new buzz from the movie into a toy like they did with real life it wouldn't be that confusing to tie it directly to toy story. They put the human buzz in the toy story suit at the end of lightyear just transpire that to a toy not exactly like Tims buzz but like Mattel how they made the jetpack adventure buzz toy. That would fit perfectly. And dax as the villain perfect! Tempus introduction as early writing of his original origins discontinued after perfect! It's a story about passing the torch to the new guy and letting the next generation carry on. Lightyear 2 is possible to maybe happen. Not yet sure, but this is really good. Really good.

We should stop with this Toy Story 5 plot where the toys go back to Andy and his kids. Andy has already moved on. And so have the toys. The whole point of the ending of TS3 is that they all move on from Andy, and he grew up. We shouldn't have them go back to Andy. It should just be another kid. If they went back to Andy it wouldn't be emotional at all. You can have Andy come back for the movie but the ending shouldn't be that the toys go back to him.
