Don’t really know much about what goes into an engine but I’d like to build this corvette faster. This is Epic I have triple black convertible 1988c4 owned for 31 yrs has low miles emissions deleted headers full exhaust bigger twin throttle body 58 instead stock 52. I'm debating what gears to put in rear 3.42 or 3.73 automatic 700r4 any ideas? Much appreciated 🙏

Had a red C4 a few years ago.. it was an ‘87 car with the L98 engine. Nice, but definitely not the quickest..even with the stainless Borla I got bored, sold it and bought a TVR

Been experimenting with trying fans from twin engine yacht engine compartments that exhaust fumes to pull heat from Corvette engine compartment and duct it out thru fender wells or behind front tires. Could possibly exit thru vents cut in the hood since heat rises neway. Got 671 BBC blown Pro Street 64 Corvette but don't run hood on it so that helps it cool. If you cant get the heat out it don't matter how much radiator and fans you have. Heat acts like a barrier to air tryin to come thru the radiator.

Thats a clean build. The motor looks like it belongs and I know GM didnt leave a bunch of extra room for turbo stuff. Very wicked car considering most dont suspect them of being very peppy.

Put a dana 44 in it and you will never break it. i had a C4 in 1999 with a 100mil turbo (turbonetics) and a 406 Car made 1100whp and ran 8.4@180 with a dana 44 and 1992 aluminum half shafts.

A terrific build. A couple of things I still don't understand though. Why the rollcage's tube is lower than the driver's head?) The exhaust system is asking for an H-pipe where they come together, but there's none. And no cats - is it street legal? But still - a fantastic piece of work...

Oh hell no! As soon as you spy that upper roll cage bar you better start thinking twice about what it's capable of. I have seen some interesting C4's before. Like a guy that was running an all aluminum race prepared big block in a 91 roadster with a six speed . Slicks on the back skinny up front and through mufflers. It pulled the front wheels up about eye level if you raced him.
