would not applicable lol... it only makes the power it does due to rpm , which means that small of cubic inch it needs alot of love separation angle because you cannot stuff that much pressure in to a small cylinder at low rpm due to turbo pressure is low at low rpm, now add to that tire rotaional rpm to gear ratio to torque converter multiplication rate.... look at how much it cost just for a true tranny to handle that level of power constantly.... the oil squirt on piston underside is nothing knew at all... notice he used a thick height piston to absorb the heat generated from compressed pressure of boost, bhe used a big heavy rod because you need more weight to handle the high rpm, it's .5 longer than even the best ls sbc rod and probably 2xs heavier

Tom Nelson got your ears on ? I want to see a NRE small block Chevy configuration equiped cam, rods , pistons. crank , bearings etc. etc. set up of NRE choice set up to be compatible for todays modern two four barrel EFI throttle bodies which I just now watched a video from nitrous express express claiming you can program those bolt on EFI four barrel throttle bodies to spray more fuel for DRY NOS ....example of a EFI 4 barrel throttle body system www.edelbrock.com/shop/fuel-injection.html why you ask ..? these EFI bolt on plug and play self tuning 4 barrel throttle body kits are getting cheaper to buy ..allowing the average street racer to put more bucks into the build quality of the engine internals ...like this boat motor shoehorned in under the hood of a Chevy Chevette ... back in the mid 80s on south west archer avenue Chicago there was a speed shop specializing in selling turnkey pro street chevettes with 502 big blocks with a tunnel ram. rising out of the hood two holley dominators and those. huge full coverage vilocity stacks that look like spittoons level with the roof top of the car ..they were tub-bed out with mickey thompson's narrowed rear end so all you saw from the rear was big rubber a Dana 70 pumpkin and more big rubber anda short set of wheelie bars ... I believe your little buzz bomb boat motor with dual four EFI + NOS in a chevette could be exciting and get decent gas mileage and extra engine life as we know EFI has never washed out rings or bearings ....BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME ....and if it becomes popular and I think it will you will have the opportunity to build a specialized NRE optimized EFI intake manifold ...tada ..there I just made you another million ...like lee Marvin said to the ladies above the bar in "paint your wagons" " i give you the boy.. give me back the man"

Silly question but why 230 ci? I'm pretty sure the LSX block is good for 427 as standard. I have a thing for small displacement v8s but this just seems a waste of deck height to my uneducated brain.

None of these engines would live without Mike Laws' patented piston oil squirter. Patent is long expired but it was violated into oblivion. jack rousch was particularly fond of stealing patents like it, and selling them to ford. Those squirters, along with valve spring oilers helped senior beat Mark Martin for another Cup championship. Mike was the real innovator at Bo Laws Racing.

At 1,200 hp What was the TORQUE, on that awesome 5 min pull. I'd love to have a engine designed to take that kind of torture. It's not abuse if it's ment to run under that kind of condition. My hats off for your ability to assemble & maintain a power plant as such WAY COOL !!! Edit: I'm still convinced the Chev 409 or Z-11 427 with today's ability & technology. That Big block has unknown capabilities of horsepower and RPM's even in the late 60's race teams found out 6,000 RPM Was just starting to produce staggering amounts of Horse power. But the iron block coud'nt take the stress due to its design.

Im a LS fan but also a Chrysler fan. Lots of people shun the 287ci (4.7 HO). I'd love to see you put together a 4.7HO. Nobody is building 4.7s. If i had the resources id be all over it no doubt. Seeing a small block rip like this is too me, more thrilling than say a 632ci.

So another ls piece of shot makes less than a factory stock 340 six pak block and heads, that was built the right way wtf screw gm, here’s a point let the Hemi run in prostock and nascar since lowly gm has banned it 39 times since 1949 wtf

Way back when, guys used to run the 283 because of the crank pin overlap between the main and rods. The other thing is that they had small journals, which allowed for more meat around the bolts and thicker walls on the mains when compared to a four bolt block. The distance between the outside edge of the main cap and the inside of the main journal is thicker than a four bolt 350 block, which gave it more strange hope. The rod ratio was better, the Pistons were lighter and all that added up to a motor that would rev like crazy, and make killer horsepower.

Nice build but I would use king racing bearings they look like the day you put them in after years of racing.. just a tip from alot of experience.
