Martok has always been one of my favorite Star Trek characters, as he in many ways demonstrates the best of the Klingons when separated from the corruption of the High Council we see in the mid-late 24th century. Seeing him have such a key role in strengthening the friendship/alliance between the Empire and Federation in this story is something I really love 🎉

Incredible backstory. This is a ship I regret not being able to get on Star Trek online. It looks awesome and maybe one day I'll be able to get her, but at least I can watch this story about it and imagine. The creators of Star Trek online should do a collaboration with you because you do a fantastic job developing stories behind all these ships.

Makes you wonder if this ship was equally armed by federation torpedoes or Klingon torpedoes. Both packing a lot of punch but I'm more intimidated by the Klingon torpedoes sounds. As for the fighting crews I wonder whom would take the pride of defending the ship more. I bet the Klingons. Qapla!!!! The training for these crews would be very intense. Poke the bear I dare you.

I saw this as a physical model first because I don't play STO. This is a really beautiful ship. Even though it is an ambitious design, it feels like it could fit into the franchise. Both heritages are clear.

I used to play that game. I even came up with an elaborate backstory for my character. My characters name was T'Chon ambassador Sarek was married before spocks mother to a Vulcan princess. That's where saibok came from. But the princess died so sarek married spokes mom. Now in my timeline she secretly died in childbirth while sarek was off planet and only a few knew. The child was hidden.it was a girl named T'Lon. That girl grew in secret not knowing she had brothers and a bio dad. She was raised in a family of ship builders.she got married had a female child named M'Ranthat daughter fell in love with a star fleet LT. Named GREG russel. they had a son. My character. His name was T'Chon russel.he was spokes great nephew. He had long white hair he used to cover his ears.My character looked like a Vulcan wolverine with white hair. Normal eyebrows but pointy ears.short and well built. Was a commander with special operations in star fleet.

Also what role would this ship play in starfleet with its hull from a Klingnon warship design but built out of diplomatic unity?

This is what would happen if a Federation ship and an old time-y (TMP era) Klingon Bird of Prey had a kid. And don't get me wrong; I actually kinda like the look of this thing. 😀

While personally I couldn't see Starfleet creating a Klingon style wessel ... sorry, vessel, even in times of desperation, the story you created here is still believable especially with Martok's close relationship with the Federation. I also don't think Klingon and Federation crews would be so integrated into one vessel either. The cultures are just too different. To help Klingons feel more comfortable Starfleet would need to section off a portion of the ship to cater just for Klingon needs, but that in itself could lead towards racism between the Klingon and Federation personnel. I feel the kind of Klingons that would be happy to serve on Starfleet ships would be Federation-ized Klingons, like Worf. But having Martok temporarily give command of 500 Klingon ships over to the Federation until they've rebuilt their forces is something I feel Martok would do. He didn't want to be a politician, just a soldier. But Worf claiming Chancellor over Gowron in the final episodes of DS9 then Worf giving that leadership to Martok I feel would help cement Klingon-Federation ties again. Afterall, basically a Federation officer briefly took leadership of the Klingon Empire, then gave that leadership back to a Klingon. Maybe Martok found that (along with challenging and winning against a leader making foolhardy and dishonorable decisions leading to needless Klingon deaths) a huge sign on honor. I haven't played STO but it makes me feel if such a project was made between the two superpowers, and that the Romulans were now no longer a threat, the Khitomer Class could be one of the first Starfleet vessels to have a cloaking device, one that the Klingons were happy to share with.

Though a great video game, that will never happen! A) its not popular enough B) The nature of its MMO storylines and conflicting Canon would never fit with a Series C) Writing for a show is different then writing for a 5 minute mission, very different... Though the team is talented at making a game designed to keep its audience interested, they are a production team capable of making an actual show... That would be like asking someone in love to do heart surgery... So dont hold your breath!
