Hi Patrick! My husband and I ‘found’ you on KZbin during the dark days of ‘lockdown’. We’ve really enjoyed watching you and feel like you are a ‘virtual’ friend. I watch Lou & Lols channel after your recommendation and i noticed you were on some of their group walks. It's nice to see you out with company and having a scenic walk away from filming. That was a nice walk today and more of a relaxing stroll around the park.Seems a very busy place too. Thanks Patrick, it's always a pleasure watching one of your walks. Cheers

Hi Kelly, yes Lou and Lol's last group walk was the one around Matlock Bath, Riber and Dethick, the video of which they published on Wednesday, and it was the walk I did the day after I was here in Clumber Park. It's a lovely park and although it gets very busy, it's worth the visit. Love the lakeside walk in particular with the view of the chapel on the opposite bank. Thanks Kelly as always for watching 👍

I enjoyed the whole walk Patrick but of course the chapel struck me and hey the size of that lake - nice bridge restoration. I have to say you were right the chapel was in cathedral proportions. I said, blimey they had plenty of money at the start. It's a shame they had to demolish the house. Good to see Lou and lol still going and you guys stood together. Well, that went quick. Thanks Patrick. Have a good rest of the week. Mark
@solitaryrambler2 жыл бұрын
Morning Mark, that chapel is pretty impressive eh, quite the landmark. It's a massive lake and it was great to see the bridge restored after hearing about it being vandalised. It is a shame about the house, it would have been an even grander location in the beginning. Yeah Lou and Lol are great ladies. I've been on about 4 or 5 of their group walks so far, and there are a few other KZbinrs who come along from time to time. Thanks as always for watching Mark. Enjoy the rest of your week too 👍

Nice to see you showcasing some of Nottinghamshire’s finest spots. Clumber Park holds many happy childhood memories for me with it being local. I really must look into joining the National Trust too. Thanks for the reminder 🙂

Morning Anthony, yes Clumber Park sure is a fine Nottingham spot. Deffo worth joining the NT as, although I didn't quite describe it correctly in this, you save so much money even if you only visit a NT property half a dozen or so times a year. Also you can used NT car parks, especially in the Peak District such as Longshaw, Mam Tor, Ilam Hall and many other locations owned by NT. All the best 👍

Hi Patrick...Its an area i often take a walk through...nice to see the bridge has been returned to its former splendour...We have never joined the NT but are members of EH..I remember the year we joined, we racked up nearly £300 worth of visit to their properties, mainly Castles and Abbeys...i think we have visited most of the places around Northern England and a lot in the Midlands...great to drop into these places when passing and yes well worth the yearly fee...Another good video..great to hear the Timpani drums making an appearance in your music...Cheers Steven

Evenin' Steve, yes I heard about what had happened to the bridge on the local news at the time, so it was great to see it restored and looking good. Hi Patrick. Hope you are well. What superb views in the opening of your film of Clumber Park. We are also members of the National Trust, so plenty of opportunities to explore. Morning Shanita, Clumber Park is very photogenic, so it was easy capturing really great views. I enjoy a lazier walk too so there's definitely nothing wrong with that 😂 It was a beautiful day and quite difficult at the same time to film many of the shots as there were a lot of other visitors around, but can't blame them as it's a great place to visit. Beautiful area. I agree with your comments about the value of NT membership. An additional one is that in many places, the Lake District in particular, many of the car parks are owned by the NT. Non-members pay for parking, members merely scan their cards for a ticket. Another enjoyable film.
