I Expended a large amount of time researching MOSFET’s and it’s associated circuitry especially the gate resistor, snubber and zener protection. Hi I made and inverter circuit but the mosfet keeps failing over and over I use Shockley diode drain to source but the mosfet keep failing too I use a g03t60 igbt with a mosfet in my circuit and the inverter work perfectly so could it be that all the mosfet are faulty why they never work but the igbt work

@@rx6910 sir you need proper mosfet driver to drive any common mosfets bcz it need atleast 10v-11v on gate for low Rds possible.else you need logic level mosfet (IRLZ44N)... If you are going go drive common mosfet with 5v it will stuck anywhere in Ohmic region(Not fully off/Not fully on) it cause extensive heating in mosfets ..

You don't seem to understand how the mosfet works. What is the minimum Vg, maximum Ig, how to accelerate gate to ground, how to overcome back emf load. You should not add a capacitor to the gate which results in the gate voltage not being fast enough to ground which results in a late turn off of the mofet, on the fullbridge it will result in failed switching For a more detailed explanation, you can open the channel, Prof. Ben Yacov
