Love your work here, especially ones with Mr. Steven Summerville, each time enjoying to watch and learn more - I am from Security industry and thanks for these great podcasts - I would appreciate if in the next episode, Mr Summerville could explain/discuss Subsection 1 of 494 - (b), specifically the reasonable grounds how can be defended in the court. If there was specific case in court where this subsection was applied, as it could enlighten me and others who have similar questions about threshold for private citizens such as security guards. Because usually we urge everyone to use subsection 2 where they actually finds/witness the crime and advise them to only act for serious crimes with ample of evidence and only then use the reasonable grounds / if Mr. Summerville has the same opinion - Thanks - Amir

Gents, really nicely done. Great way to quickly, effectively and clearly break down the essential elements involved with this type scenario. While not everyone in a fairly narrow subset of the population will be willing to accept the reality of how things work and why, the wider community will see this content and understand what you’ve shared here. One facet y’all brushed upon I’d like to amplify, and that is the public’s perception of the loss prevention / security profession, the provider’s brand, the property owners, and the individuals involved. It cannot be overstated how important it is to get ahead of the media that’ll project Marxist propaganda onto the airways without collecting or vetting all the facts. By posting a statement about the incident, even if only on a website dedicated to making the daily blotter publicly available, the facts of the matter as they’re known at the time of the incident can precede any BS claims of racism or targeting due to age/gender/immigration status/religion/etc. Those who are guilty will often try to deflect and project as a way to draw sympathy in order to sway the jury pool.

they do not normally enjoy Qualified Immunity, they should be very careful about doing that.
