Never been a fan of port finish, but now I’m on the hunt to try this one!

1792 Port Finish is quite a rare bird. More difficult to find than the elusive Sweet Wheat and High Rye. I had a Driftless Glen Port Finish store pick recently. It was okay, not worth the $65 at Woodman's though. Port finish seems to be a better fit on rye than bourbon, at least to my palate. I was fortunate enough to get a bottle of the Bourbon Junkies EverNorth Spirits Arctic Spirit LE. 6 year Sagamore 52 rye and 8 year MGP 95/5 rye, finished in ruby and tawny port barrels. It's phenomenal, berries and baking spice and a good amount of balanced oak from the wave staves they used! It's like what Midwinter Night's Dram used to be before the quality fell off. Better yet the Arctic Spirit LE was only $99.99 instead of MWND at $180-200 when you can find it! Thanks for sharing!
