@@strongside4565 well said. Like I've got a Wild Turkey Master's Keep Voyage I paid 300 w/tax SRP for at a raffle and I hate that bottle bc of what I paid for it. Yet I've got a Russell's Reserve 13 year I paid the same amount for it above SRP and I adore that bottle. But it's also tied to an experience so there's more to it than just price.

Look at glens creek for a local Kentucky product from a non legacy distiller. Mom and pop owned and operated located right next to castle and key

I just toured Sagamore Distillery in Baltimore two days ago and it’s awesome! They have two different blends. They age 4-6 years minimum in non-temperature controlled rickhouses so the heat and cold of the seasons help expand and shrink so the flavor gets drawn out of the barrel better. Really good stuff, their bottle in bond in what I took home. If u take a tour ask for Jake - he’s great

Wild turkey 101 70th year is $50 and honestly it doesn’t taste like it’s worth more than that. It does taste good. It is definitely better than regular wild turkey 101. However, I can’t imagine paying more than even $70.

You should find and try Glenn’s Creek Distillery in Woodford County. Down the same road where Woodford Reserve and Castle and Key are. Glenn’s Creek OCD #5 is their main bourbon, made and bottled in house

The prices I've seen on those Antique 107s hurt my feelings everytime. I saw one sitting on the shelf for $200 bucks yesterday. I'd love to find it for about 100 less, but ER10 goes for $65 these days so it feels like a bit of a pipe dream.

Man I was getting a couple bottles of 107 a year here in Buffalo for market price back in 2017 or so... About 35 after tax. And right down the aisle was a whole display of eagle rare 10-year for 32.99. That sale went all year long for about 2 years straight. Those were the days man.

Check out all the Cox's Smokers Outlets next time through KY, they have a store pick section and most have a glass case of new/allocated stuff cheaper than secondary. Please come back next year!

In my opinion Bardstown's High Wheat is one of the best wheaters on the market that's regularly available. To me it just totally blows out WSR and while it's very different to OWA I think it's probably just as good. For $45 it's an extremely underrated bottle in most places.

Bardstown's High Wheat I personally like a lot because you get a great combination of the wheat smooth sweetness and a bit of what is really convincing faux rye spice on the finish that while it does contrast the sweetness I think more than anything enhances it.

When I went back to the states last year for family reasons I brought as much bottles as I could under the 2.25L limit I wanted to bring back more but I couldn't because of the limit 😭😭 it was under 40 bucks For 3 bottles 😭😭 and the variety. @ Early Times used to be Brown Foreman but was bought by Sazerac several years ago. The old version has a black plastic top and the new has a blue metal top. There seems to be a consensus that the old version is better, so keep an eye out for them when at the liquor store. Just fun to find and I had never seen one before.

A good location to check would be the Kroger at the Jefferson mall in louisville, its a little smaller but not to many people in that area drink bourbon so i found blantons once on a tuesday afternoon. But i used to live there and go to that kroger all the time
