I been there and he not hating most chefs around the world it's hard to impress especially from cooking and seeing how food is prep from all around the country and 5 stars doesn't mean just the food it could be the upscale of the restaurant and the service and high price

Why are folks banging on this brother's "Opinion"? He is sharing his dining experience and his feedback on the food he ordered and tasted. Additionally, he did say at the end that folks should check it out for themselves and show the restaurant some love. I've dined there 3 times and I have enjoyed everything I've eaten. I would agree with him regarding great service (Staff) and cleanliness and I would also agree that it's a little over priced for what you get. G&M Restaurant has better Crabcakes for less. For me the price of that, the Rock Fish, Shrimp and Grits... I mean??? Having said that, I wouldn't give it a 1/5 based on my experience. I'd say more like 3.5/5 and that's because of the prices. If they brought the prices down a bit, I'd probably give it a 4-4.5/5. Not a hater, just my experience. Go there, eat there enjoy! (PS, I never owned a restaurant. I just like good value and good food). PEACE!!!

I intend to try it for myself, but from personal experience, many of these expensive restaurants are overhyped. When a restaurant is as expensive as this one, it raises the expectations of food critics. I know I am more critical when the price of food and drinks is high. I expect to love it, not just like it. And I prefer everything to be well-seasoned. Based on what he ordered, his review appeared to be honest. However, I will form my own opinion when I visit the restaurant.

So when he goes to restaurants judging he's not a hater but when people judge his judging they're haters. That type of thinking is flawed. I do think he's being over critical on somethings. Alcohol drink can be mixed the way you want it. Just say I want less alcohol in it. If you judging crab cake by price, say that. A 40 dollar crab cake... are they using 30 dollars worth of crab? I don't care how good my meatloaf is, I wouldn't make someone pay 20 dollars a slice. The ingredients don't don't cost that much.. AT the end of the day, it's still the ingredients that make the price. But nobody is hating on him for judging food, he just does it in a way that needs to be checked. Explain things. Salt shouldn't take a dish from a 2 to a 4 in 5 star rating. I could say a place's food is good but it's bland. Doesn't mean the food is 1 star. 2 things can be true. The food is bland but you like food over seasoned. 😮

Most modern chefs don't believe in classic garnish. If you are going to put something on the plate it needs to taste good. Don't put something on there that looks pretty that the customer is just going to toss to the side

So I've been watching a few of his videos. He judges people's food like he's more than the cook. He should be judging from a stanf point of a regular paying customer. The chicken breast and fish was tender and flaky. Judging an alcohol beverage is silly. The crab cake thing needs to be addressed. I'm not a food judge, but price is a big part of things. To serve a 40 dollar crab cake is not smart. If you're using 30 dollars of crab to make a crab cake, then you're missing the point of a crab cake i think. Its like making a person pay a lot for meatloaf. I wouldn't make a wagyu meatloaf that cost 40 dollars a slice. Just opening yourself up for critics.
