A visit to New Matsusaka in Roppongi. Let's consider for a brief moment that it is actual Kobe beef and actual Matsuaka beef: Is it too expensive for what you get? For the price you would get 148 fingerlicking delicious Mosburgers in Tokyo.
Price: 61050 Yen (2 people).

Have you ever had maguro (bluefin)? On the O toro area it's so much fat content the wasabi flavour does not penetrate recepticles on your tongue. Hence you need to put a bunch to feel anything. Also if you fresh grind wasabi it's a few times less spicy than the horseradish-wasabi mixture

For those who can't read the bill. They had Kobe beef for 80$ in this size which is a really good prize. then comes 2 times the vegetables for 4.5$ each. After that comes the extra portion of rice for 7.5$, but they shared it. After that comes the dessert for 7.5$ per portion. Which looked ok in my eyes. But would really like to know what it really was, because the bill only says Japanese dessert. Then comes the drinks with one glass of red wine for 13.5$ and a glass of white wine for 11.3$. then comes the most expensive position on the bill and it is the Matsusaka beef with 180$, but it looks like they orderd a double portion, because the normal ala carte size would be half of the kobe. And last but not least the Kuroge beef with about 100$ I would be interested that you would share your opinion with us, which piece of meat tasted better.

@buianh81
@buianh81 7 ай бұрын
@@joyjoy534 Ribeye is one of the best cut of meat already, even though it's might not be Kobe and I believe the Matsusaka in the video is not A5. Buying wagyu outside Japan is more expensive obviously. Cooking Wagyu is fun to me though that's personal. Some of the meat looked too rare in the video as they didn't aim for medium rare (no thermometer) and you would be better of pan-shearing for a much better crust.

Yeah I thought he was touching them too much. He didn't let them cook and turned them too many times. Wich made the outside cook faster then the inside. You should only have to cook each side once. And then he cut one up on the grill taking the juice out of it. You always leave it alone and then put on a slab of wood to finish.
