What horse-pucky! The 17th century IS the 1700s. The 18th century IS the 1800s, NOT the 1900s. That is like your modern math that equates 1 + 1 with the sum of 3. What matter of tom-foolery is this? Maybe it is the failing of the uneducated simpleton or worse yet, the educated charlatan hell-bent to skew the perceptions of the influential masses. The worst form of deception is self-deception. 1787 is 18th century, not 17th century. Not to nit pick but it's weird that you refer to a man as a man but refer to women as "females" in the same sentence... 😬 Nice recap though.

@LordLuciferoeth JESUS is LORD! The Bad News- You are naturally born with a sinful nature and have broken at least one of the law (10 commandments) at least once in your life (Example: a lie) (James 2-10 says if you break one of these laws, its the same as breaking them all), so because of this you're on your way to hell already, everyone is (Romans 3-23) The Gospel (Good News): JESUS, Who is GOD in the flesh, came into the world and died for us, to free us from the curse of the law (10 commandments) and ressurected on the third day so that whosoever BELIEVES in HIM will not perish but have everlasting life! GOD said this! GOD cannot lie (Titus 1-2, Hebrews 6-18) we can lie because we are sinners. JESUS saved us already (Colossians 2 13-14) Just BELIEVE and TRUST in HIM! HIM ALONE, anyone who gives you another Gospel, whether an angel or one of us, let him be accursed, like it says in (Galatians 1 6-9) JESUS ALONE! Not religion, Trust in HIM and you will receive the GIFT of THE HOLY SPIRIT. GOD HIMSELF! JESUS said "Repent ye and BELIEVE the GOSPEL" (Mark 1-15). AMEN! AMEN! 0o0oOOooooooo

@@mmecharlotte females refers to sex organs of both humans and animals, so when you refer to woman as females it can be dehumanizing depending on the context. It sounds weird referring to men as human beings but then call woman by sex organs that could be animals in the same sentence so it comes across as even more dehumanizing than normal, most woman don’t like being referred to as females for this reason unless it makes sense contextually, especially now considering most men use it differently depending on how they view the woman, mum/sister/aunt or any other woman they don’t view badly = woman, every other woman they don’t feel respect for = females if that makes sense. now a days it’s used a lot by men to replace the word “bitches” with the same meaning, most of the time I see it now it’s meant in a derogatory way, so that when woman call them out on it they can go like “but aren’t woman females? Are you saying you’re not a woman” to make the woman feel like she’s making stuff up and gaslighting them, it’s hard to explain if you haven’t seen it yourself. Not only that it’s grammatically incorrect which means people are going out their way to be wrong just so they can call woman that, so when you pair that with everything else it comes across as insulting. There are obviously contexts where it’s better to use female, so yes woman are females to answer your question, but it just depends on how you use it that can rub people the wrong way, I.e. using men and females in the same sentence Ike this video does, also you do get woman who don’t care at all but it’s perfectly understandable that lots do care because words have meanings and I think they should be used correctly.

Yep- and it's been that way throughout history. The average height of Spanish soldiers was around 5' 5"'; that of Roman soldiers was around 5'. However, residents of the Thirteen Colonies were considered to be extraordinarily Tall by people in England; due to considerably better diets, in particular more Protein than most people, other than the wealthy or nobles. The average height of Caucasian males in the early 21st century is 5'8 to 6'2; Caucasian men in New England of the 1760's was roughly 5'5" to 5'10" so 3" less, on average. So, a taller than available man from the era would probably be considered tall in our era. Considered that British military records prove that British soldiers were 6" Taller during the Napoleonic Wars, than during WWII 1939-1945, and some 8" taller than during WWI 1914-1918!

At one point in the movie our time traveler says "im amazed by these new societal constructs", discussing such phoenomenah as women prioritising career over marriage, women doing mens labour, voting and wearing mens garments. At least in part, this movie is propaganda. A man from 1789 would certainly not be this liberal. In fact by todays standards he would be a far right extremist. At no point does he defend the values of his time, now does he show any difficulty adjusting to this alien society. Beyond his arrival, he is a modern man with modern values. A major miss of the film. So much wasted potential for conflict in the plot.

If Lifetime Movie Network had a thing for time travel movies, this one would be a good start. except it's the girl that time travels, not the guy. (Wait a Minute, Outlander already did this. Oh, never mind.)

I doubt that women of today would be attracted to a good man from the past. Women would find his chivalrous attitude towards women offensive. Oh, there might a few women that like men with manners. Now if was a pirate they would be all over him.

@@rayharvey1330 I read somewhere once, that ancient people had relatively good teeth even without dental care because of the kinds of food they ate (less sugars and so on). He didn't necessarily need to be diseased but the costume and make-up guys could have put a little more effort into making him look and feel more "ancient".

It's Katteskill falls? Not Katterskill point? I lived there for 25 years, never heard of it, but who am I do dispute a computer? I like to knitpick, ignore me.. Where it gets out of hand, no doctor in the world would entertain that his story could be true. It was cool they used Rip Van Winkle to set it up.

Electric vehicles can now travel 500 - 700 km on a single charge. But I know of a car (the Fresco car) that can go 1000 km on a single charge. Most people use their cars for commuting within a radius of 50 km. The charging time is no longer 8 hours, half is enough. Upload time is not that much of a problem anyway. You can charge the car at home. A distance greater than this is much rarer. The fuel for electric cars (electricity) is already much cheaper here in Europe than gasoline or diesel fuel. It's worth it financially. Oh, and just to avoid misunderstanding: I'm not left-wing or liberal-green. I'm conservative, but I happen to like electromobility and a future without exhaust fumes. Most problems can be solved with technological development, it's just a matter of time.

Time travel's biggest problem is that the earth was in a far different place in 1787 than in any part of 2022. A time travel would need to be a time and space traveler to cover such an unbelievable distance.
