Awesome video, Chad! Will you get a product for the top 4 EAS reactions even if NO2 is present? My understanding is that the only time NO2 will interfere is if it is Cl-R, or R-O-Cl (the bottom 2 reactions) Thanks!

Hey Abby - do you mean will nitrobenzene still react? It does but will direct the addition of the new substituent to the meta position due to ring deactivation - did you check out this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWGYk3eAgruai6s on reactions of substituted benzene?
