Thanks to @Klavierlehrerand especially @ZoyArtery for your advice. Still not 100% happy, but under recording pressure I unfortunately lose some softness in my tone. My concentration goes to hitting the right keys so desperately. I have recording fragments where I like my tone a little better, closer to what I have in my mind, but I messed those up. And after 30 attempts or more I accept that's what it is now. 90% needs to be enough for the 40 pieces challenge.
This one is close to what I want: a bit unconventional, "mazurkish", question and answer, and the tone not too harsh. It was a decision not to play it straight, clean. Might not be everyone's choice, but I think it's more sassy, and that's what I feel when I see people dance it. A bit explosive, joyful, bouncy, not as stiff as minuets or walzes. For a danceable version it would have to be straighter, though. But I see it as an art piece, like the Chopin Mazurkas are. They are not meant for dance, too.
What this piece taught me:
- Play more with question/answer
- know what you want to "say"
- you can't force the perfect recording
