changing riley's dad from watching hockey to soccer doesn't make sense though because their family is from minnesota where hockey is extremely popular, riley even plays hockey and one of her core memories is playing hockey with her dad. it doesn't make sense for the dad to be randomly thinking about a soccer game when the family otherwise has no ties to soccer.

Half of these changes make no sense. IDK why they even bother changing voice actors when going from the USA, to Canada or to the UK. Sure one actress or actor may be more popular in a different country, but I still see no reason to change them. Even the Buzz Lightyear with the American flag. It's a movie that takes place in the USA, no need to change it. Just unnecessary changes to me.

How about “Whisper of the Heart?” That’s my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE one! Heck, this is how I started learning Japanese! I was watching a blu ray copy of it, (that I had borrowed from my local library, until I ended up getting my own copy) which had the ORIGINAL Japanese version) with French subtitles, and fell IN LOVE with the song! I thought; “Wait a minute here! I think that I can TOTALLY learn this! I just need time and patience!” So… I then did a little research, and found a KZbin video, that I downloaded onto my phone and iPad, that had the lyrics in Japanese, English and Romanji. All I did to learn it was: I reread the Romanji one line at a time, over and over again, until I got the pronunciation down in time to the tune. I then went on to the next line, got that one down, then reviewed it with the previous one, so on and so on, until I got the whole song down. Heck, it ONLY took me a month to master it!

6:42 small correction, most of the Italian words that end with "ino" or "one" are a single word which has multiple-word meaning. So it's "Topo" (mouse), "Topolino" (small mouse) or "Topolone" (big mouse). Us Italians just put "ino" or "one" at the end of the name of an object to say that it's big or small, like "Tavolone" instead of "Grande tavolo" (big table).

Its just about the same with spanish, where we have things like "ito", "ita" and "ote," for example. Like take table for example. In spanish its "Mesa" Mesita=small table Also big, "grande". Grandote= really big And small, "pequeño" Pequeñito(a)=really small/tiny. Although "ito" can refer to masculine, and "ita" is femenin.

Also in finding Dory there is a scene where Dory sees the name ‘Destiny’ on a bucket and slides in. However not everywhere ’Destiny’ has the same name. So they changed the scene to suit the name used in that country

Not sure if you noticed. The original voice actors are not really used for most part when movies are being dubbed. Names often also change based on country but you do you.

Donkey was voiced by Eddy Murphy in the US but in Mexico he was voiced by Eugenio Derbez who is a very big comedian and tv producer with a very funny voice so it was an amazing dub in Spanish just as is in English

Actually, Jeremy Piven (4:30) has a tenuous hold on the world of cars: in a scene late in the movie, "The Crew," he's on the lam in a Porsche and ends up being chased back to town by a fellow police detective he's been trying to get back with (but she hates his guts for the slime-ball he is) and a whole fleet of police cruisers. This little known comedy is a total hoot and one of my favorite movies. Look it up!

I'd watch a Wreck-It Ralph movie where one of the Sugar Rush racers was an anime girl named Sakura. Also, I've been aware of the title change in TMNT, but I didn't know that the UK also "neutered" Mikey's weapon of choice as well.

I’m from Sweden. And it’s funny, because Mickey Mouse has a weird name in Swedish. The obvious translation in Swedish would be “Micke Mus”. But for some reason we chose to name him “Musse Pigg” which means Musse Alert in English. I don’t know why, Sweden is a weird country!🇸🇪

Fun fact. When dubbing movies to different languages, studios use different voice actors than the original.
@judebaun9993 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. They use the voices of native speakers so that doesn’t even really as a character change animated characters pretty much always have different voices in different languages.
@AwesomePolska3 жыл бұрын
Well, if you watch polish version of any animated movie, you will see that a lot of dialogues have been changed. Generally because the orginal ones can't be translated properly, or just to make it funnier by adding some juicy jokes 😉

Sweden’s age rating on Sausage Party is really weird. Even worse is that the people who decided the rating seems to have completely missed the ending to the movie🤦♀️ And now with the movie Good Boys they’ve put a weird rating again because that’s also from 11 years here. (I’m from Sweden) But they put the rating from 15 years on Suicide Squad and on that movie I feel like 15 is too much, but 11 is too little. So I don’t get why Sweden doesn’t have a rating that is from 13 years

Topolino isn't made of two separate words. In italian we have these things called alterations, which are variants of nouns created by taking said noun and giving it a specific suffix to give an additional meaning to the original word, these alterations can be of one of four types: vezzeggiativo (-uccio, -etto, -otto, used for cute or nice things), dispreggiativo ( -accio, used to express contempt or scorn), accrescitivo (-one, used for big things) and diminutivo (-ino, for small things, but sometimes it gets mixed up with vezzegiativo and they end up being used in same context) such as topolino, which is the diminutivo for topo (mouse in italian) thus translating as little mouse in english

Penso si riferisse al fatto che per un breve periodo, la rivista di topolino (ancora prima che la prendesse Mondadori) diventò Topo Lino, per non stravolgere il titolo ma evitare le accuse di utilizzo dei diritti da un'altra casa editrice... Ma non lo spiega per niente bene nel video
