The thing that separates Dan from all the other KZbinrs (although he is actually a better player than them anyway) is his beautiful attitude to the game. You couldn’t tell if he’d just made an eagle or a triple bogey. Just learn, move on and focus on the next hole. It also makes much better content for us because he is always so calm and can explain his decisions rather than wasting time being emotional over a bad shot. It’s probably the best KZbin channel for learning about how to play the game.

I think one thing that is maybe a bit underestimated here is Dan's green reading ability, one of those things that is just all about experience; but it is very nuanced and difficult for some of us. Also, just generally his putting is outstanding.

Thanks so much for your great and gracious videos. My handicap has dropped from 13 to 10 in 8 months, because of the improvement in my short game and course management. That said, may I please make a request -- while your course management videos are great, it would be so very helpful if your played with a 5 hcp, a 10 hcp and a 20 hcp, and talked us through how the different players managed the same course. Two one hour videos, front nine, back nine? I'd find that invaluable. Thanks again Dan.
