The 18 horsepower Duramax does not come with clamps or barrel connectors on the throttle, in this video I show you how I hooked up mine.

I'm building a Ford ranger rat rod go kart as well on my channel, I'm starting with the harbor freight 420 CC predator. I'm thinking about moving to the 670cc with the right clutch to see what speeds I can get out of it.

That'll be pretty cool, this project would have had a 670 but they are almost $1000. now and an appropriate clutch for that amount of HP is quite expensive itself, if you do go with the 670 you may want to rig up a pressure pulley system like how a tiller engages or a riding lawn mower engages the blades.

@@ChrisfromKeyfarm cars and cameras did a video on the 670 with a different driver pulley I believe and kind of like a go-kart torque converter clutch setup I believe for the dragster. I'm going to rewatch their video to get some more ideas. As far as that $1,000 price you are absolutely right it's almost not in my ballpark at the moment.

On the same side that the muffler exhausts, on the carburetor there is a plastic Phillips head screw, that is the idle adjustment

You also may need to loosen up the 10 mm bolt that holds on the throttle arm

The PTO project is still going to happen but I put it off till spring. When I would have been building it we had a tragedy in the family and it got delayed and now there's no grass to cut.
