The way I immediately liked before even watching😂 love this crew! Also yes, we need more “if you don’t like it, don’t tell me” energy in 2025 This made me go back to look at my last few years. For 2022, my favorite was a tie between A Court of Silver Flames and The Shadow of the Gods. 2023 was The Fifth Season, and 2024 was probably The Spear Cuts Through Water (but so hard because I also read Morning Star, The Fury of the Gods, Blood Over Bright Haven, and Royal Assassin last year😅)

I read a book in 2024 and I will not stop talking about it (sorry y'all). It's Beartown by Fredrik Backman. It's technically a trilolgy but you can read the first book as a standalone (but don't, the other two are fantastic). This book takes place at a ice hockey town (you don't need to know any thing about hockey because I don't and I'm still obsessed). There's no one write the way Backman write in this book. The way that he handle and dive into sexism, victim blaming, love, marriage, friendship, family, parenthood, grief, trauma, community, obsession, identity, expectation and neglect.... is phenomenal. The character works is also amazing (all these people have lived rent free in my head since then). I have never walked away from a book feeling so heavy and broken but also light, hopeful, seen and healed at the same time. I think you will love it (I hope soooo). Kris might be mad at me though but I love y'all.

2022: Morningstar (Red Rising Series)...but I read soooo many good books that year. 2023: Cradle Series by Will Wight...this just sucked me in and I read all ten books. 2024: Will of the Many....but again, so many good ones like Artificial Wisdom & Wind and Truth 2025: Really excited for Red God, Will #2, and The Devils by Joe Abercrombie. I'm surprised you didn't ask the ladies where they'd be if there was no more TikTok?
