All excellent tips. I can only add one thing. Body inspection, including under the wings. We lost Ashe a few years ago at the young age of 2. She had some form of cancer grow under her wing. We didn't notice until it looked like one wing wasn't smooth against her body like the other. She still flew just fine. The cancer looked like a small blueberry. The vet said it was too late to do anything as it only takes the loss of 10 to 12 drops of blood and they're finished. Had we caught it early, he may have been able to cauterize it.

theres no need to trim beaks and nails unless absolutely necessary, like in the case of an ingrown nail or if your birds beak naturally grows crooked. unnecessary trims can actually cause stress and perching problems; birds nails help them balance and sit on things

It’s very hard to clean poop off all perches at once. Better take one at a time and soak all day in water on porch. Then take dedicated brush and remove poop. Then soak in white vinegar. Then brush. Rinse. Dry outside in sunlight. Repeat for each perch. It’ll probably take two weeks.

i took rlly good care of my budgie, tried to avoid these mistakes. Saldy my bird still died, we dont know the reason but we're thinking it might have been a stroke. I want to get a new bird and i am not sure if there is any way to watch out for early sighs for a stroke. Are there any? Either way i am wondering if there is any chance to prevent ur bird from having a stroke...?

Nails and beaks need inspection! If nails get too long, they catch on cage bars and can cause broken toes and gangrene. Also can hobble your bird for it’s life

One of my budgies had dark nails so it was too hard to determine to where to trim from. It also had very long nails that enough to make it stuck on cage bars. It even get stuck to finger perch 🫱. We trimmed the nails but one of the nails released blood and surprisingly it didn't react in anyway or showed any symptom of pain somehow. It clogged naturally after waiting on a sterilised spot
