So, I've got a few things to add to this video, what with all the updates up until now. 1st: VORTEX WEAPONS These weapons have been patched into the game via the event quest "Adventurer from another world". It isn't limited by time and the weapons you can get consist of a sword (Gaze of the Vortex), a greatsword (Pain of the Vortex), Daggers (Plumes of the Vortex) and a gun (Abandon of the Vortex). These weapons are, hands-down, among the best of the best. All of them have end-game worthy stats AND have a 100% crit rate, which puts them on top of every other weapon in terms of raw damage (with the exeption of maybe Zwill blades with 100% crit food). Additionally, every one of them, except the gun, deals bonus aerial damage. Pair Gaze of the Vortex with the Airdancing ascension skill and you've basically beaten the game. The other 3 weapons will look very nice on your boy-band members, too. Alright, while all that sounds too good to be true, they are not that easily obtained. While you unlock the quest as early as chapter 5, its level requirement is set to 45, and even at this level the boss can be tough to put down. You'll also need a buttload of event-exclusive items called "Allagan Tomestones". The boss only drops a single one of them each time you fight it and before end-game you actually need 50 of those suckers to make a single Vortex weapon. BUT you can find up to 90 of them within the level before the boss (3 batches of 30 each). They are very well hidden, though, so I highly suggest watching a guide on that. Important to note is that you can repeat the boss fight, BUT NOT the level leading up to it. If you've missed those 90 Tomestones, they're gone for good unless you load a safe file before your first clear. Once you have those it's a short grind to get 2 of those weapons. 2nd: FOOD With the Vortex weapons strapped, crit food becomes unnessecary. Instead, for post-game, I suggest either King's Stew (+400 atk, +2000 HP | unlocked by buying Hunter's Ragout meal at the Meldacio Hunter HQ restaurant) or Smoked Behemoth (+400 atk, +1000 HP, +infinite sprint | unlocked by buying Smoked Dualhorn Steak meal at the Verinas Mart in Ravatogh), depending on the situation. I think the ingredients can all be bought in Lestalum. End-game I always love me some Longwythe's Peak (+600 atk, +4000 HP, +200% HP-regen). Watch a guide if you wanna know how to unlock it. It is end-game food, though. So spoiler warning. 3rd: ARMIGER Last and shortest point on my list, I swear. xD JUST before the Armiger bar runs out, initiate a warp-strike. The animation will prolong the Armiger status. Then, just before the warp-strike animation is over, mash RT and LT to cheese in a last second Armiger chain after that, too. Depending on your progress in the game you can one-shot some bosses 100 to 0 with this. Alright! That was everything I could add in terms of general tips and tricks. I played this when it came out, hit the end, and then kept playing for the additional content. Now I picked it up for Windows and am playing it on the PC, so checked out this vid for hints. Nice job! I never bothered with air-stepping before, but now I'm gonna work up to the air dancing. And yeah, that thing with insta-death in the Regalia shocked me. I triggered it in a location I shouldn't have and it was shocking to hear everyone screaming as they died. I never tried it again.

For number 16 you don't need to unlock gravisphere because promto can use the gravity well to do the same thing with out using tech bars

Spaghetti Top gravity well does not scale with magic, so it does less damage. also, it lasts less time. and the ability also does more damage and last even longer on critical. also, if you want to use another machine for whaterver reason, you can still use gravity. You can say you dont need piercer from Promp because there are weapons that also debuff defense. the thing is that prompts debuff is much more stronger on critical than any weapon that does the same debuff.

I farm ap outside hammer head with the monster whistle. make sure there is at least 2 warp points in the battle. The monster whistle not only summon monsters but also a magiteck engine warp kill them all and you can easily farm 15 plus ap per fight, but beware, after a few engines spawn the 3rd or fourth of so, the engine will drop a lvl 99 magiteack suit on you instead of troops. if you see that suit you have to retreat immediately especially if your not strong enough to fight it.

the trick with shield of the just works....u stand in the wilds by hammerhead and use enemy whistle, then IMEDIATELY warp strike them....the shield does an AOE hit and can kill all 3 or 4 enemies in one attack, you have to have the shield equipped tho....doesnt seem like much but i can usually get 333 AP in about 2 in game days

2:15 "the game is only over when Noctis dies" ... False, the game is over when the character you are in control of dies, so if you switch to using Prompto and die while using him the game is over.

The Old Lestallum hunt and mother and child bowl are unnecessary for the post royal edition games, when trying to get Ultima Weapon. Equip the Key of Prosperity item, play the game normally. You will encounter many Spiracorns in the wild, on other quests, and sometimes thrid partying you on other hunts. Just Warpstrike the head whenever you see one. I had two Sturdy Helix Horns by Chapter 5. Gave it to Cyd and one side quest later ultima blade was ready. I got the Ultima Weapon playing naturally before going to Cape Caeum with Iris

One trick I'd add is one to level up fast early in the game (as early as chapter 2). Take a break from the main quest and pill up side-quests without sleeping. Side quests are usually super easy and give you more xp than in battles. Then go to the beach place and spend 10,000 gils for a night in the fancy hotel which doubles your xp (earn the money with hunts). My biggest gig was pilling up 60,000xp, which got doubled. At chapter 5 I was already level 44. Other than that thanks so much man for the awesome tips. There is no way I was going to find out on my own about healcast and so many other advice you gave. Great video, please do one like that too for FFVII remake when it comes out!!

Maaaaaan I did the level 55+ Dungeon Crestholm Tower somethin where you get the royal weapon. Since I was under level I used the magitek exosuit and it took me 4 hours to reach to the dragon. It was so exhausting, in the end, I was sooo close to defeating him with Prompto then I was like let's finish this with coolness so switched back to Noctis and did Armiger and the game crashed and all of my hard work went to waste in 3 seconds jeez is there really no way you can save within dungeons and stuff?

I'm doing a level 1 play through right now, so you can bet I'm constantly getting knocked on my ass and losing like ten percent of my max hp before can get healed. I spend a stupid amount of money on elixirs, just to bring my hp up in a dungeon. Knowing that level 99 healcast heals your max hp totally changed the game! And here I thought I knew everything about this game already!

+TwilightPrince64 Equipping everyone with the Friendship Ring is a waste of an accessory slot. Yeah, it'll help, but honestly trying hard to get link strikes reduces DPS. Just let it happen, it'll happen more than you think if you don't worry too much about it. I get most of mine from parries. Just be sure to stay near your bros.

actually playing on K&Mouse it's so much better then NieR, i dare 2 say at least for me better than controller..only thing that i hate its theres no hard diff, so watch for over leveling , for example i was able to kill 2 coeurl whiskers chapter 2 or 3 idk when going into fight so underleveled, i mean they give u a shit tone of options so i treat the game like i shouldn't die at all, pots,mega pots,food boosts, this n that, and normal diff, yikes

It seems like I can only fire off a few attacks before I need to use a Hi-Potion on myself, or my constantly In-Danger sidekicks. That Holding Dodge Button trick also seems useful. Does no switch between characters ? I find it really useful instead of just worrying about noctis, I chose to pick prompto a lot cause his range and his attacks do high damage . Then as gladio I choose to do heavy attacks on large groups , those two I primarily use .

Thanks bruva. As far as the horns are concerned, I farmed them for a while with the save method and didnt get one. After turning in the hunt and re-accepting it, the horns dropped. If you've already picked up the glass gemstone and sold it earlier in the game dont fret, it respawns.

Just picked up this title I can't believe it took me so long!! To check this out it's Wicked!! And I'm having a Blast I like the hunts and usually don't care for all the side quest activity's but this game has a way of presenting it as a realxing form I'm barely on Chapter 2 but always looking for Tips an Tricks! Great video but I already knew where the info cuz I beat the game a year ago. Are you going to do video on the new additions to the Royal Edition. The New Edition that's out now, where you can go in first person mode or play as any of the characters.

I just bought the game, I've learned a few things on this list on my own. But some of it is still just confusing. I am still getting used to the combat but I think I understand it and it very fun.. I've been playing in active mode but I'm going to try the wait mode. Any tips on exploring and side quests, and weather I should be sticking to the main game or should I do every side activity first. I love a challenge but I also love being a God lol

Personally I do all the side quests and hunts (below lvl 55) in the new area before I continue with the story. This however doesn't make me god tier in the story, because I give Noctis the Nixperience band (this prefents xp being tallied when you rest). Currently I'm lvl 41 and have roughly 330k xp banked, because later you can sleep in a hotel or something for 30k to get a 3x xp multiplier. If you do a hunt and kill your target you can then complete the hunt at any tipper (basically every restaurant owner). Gladiolus' skill levels by walking around. So you can put a rubber band around your analog sticks to automatically run in circles (best to do in a tight save area). Meanwhile you can sleep irl. The next day his skill might be even 10 (max). The gil you get from quests and hunts will be enough. Selling loot isn't really needed so it's better to use them to get better spells. Tips for combat: Use the Ragnarok and warp strike the shit out of it. The base damage isn't that high, but it's warpstrikes are enhanced (a lot). So warpstriking with it does a lot more damage than ultima blade. Royal arms cost % max hp to attack with. So in order to use them you shouldn't get more max hp, but more health regen. Those weapons are also their own unique class. No enemy is either weak or strong against this class. So far I would say that greatswords aren't that great. Their animation is very slow compared to the other classes, which make it more difficult to react to the batllefield. Enemies that are weak against greatswords are often also weak to spears. My current weapon set-up is as followed: Magic spell, Ragnarok, royal arm for dps (dagger like), royal arm for stat boost. I mainly use magic for larger groups. Ragnarok for the warpstrikes and if I arrive at the target I can choose to either keep warpstriking or to switch to my royal arm dps weapon. If you don't have a good royal arm dps weapon you can choose a normal weapon instead.

there's a rusted bit sometimes on the rock next to the garage so you can do it right when you start Cid's quests and there is glass gemstone in the first area just pick up all items which most people do anyways

this game is so easy that the only tip needed is: don’t walk away from the controller to get a sandwich because you will come back and need to use an elixir Menace at Costlemark is the closest to an actual challenge... and even that is easy if u have healcasts
